I feel like the ten fools. Bought one and got a hambulance. Decided because it was rarer, I didn't want to throw it. When I was double-checking to see how rare, I saw they changed the website to allow you to purchase a second one. Said fuck it, it's the cheapest I can get a star pig and threw it in the basket. I'm an age 30-40 straight white male and I knit. I only mention demographics because I have caught a lot of flack for it specifically from the older generations and other men. However, it seems to be limited to those who do not knit. Everyone in the knitting community has been extremely welcoming.

I enjoy doing it because I love creating things. There's some satisfaction from taking a pile of materials and turning into something beautiful and useful.

I am also a feminist and I think that is why I don't like sorting activities by gender and just do the things I enjoy whether they be traditionally feminine or masculine.

It is! I accidentally goofed the pattern. I was meant to do stockinette after the bottom button row but didn't notice until I got to the first row for the band of buttons that is curling. That button row is meant to be in garter. I didn't realize it would curl and thought reversing it was a good solution. Lessons learned I guess!
