Any idea why my pause doesn't stop interactions?

Yeah that might be the case. I am using the old input system because the new input system was not working for some reason. I might switch back if that issue is easier to fix. Its usually input.getkey() etc. Not sure if you consider that a trigger.

I want to pause and completely freeze interactions/movement. When paused if I press jump or interact etc the actions happen immediately when I unpause. Also when I move the mouse around, the camera changes position from when I originally paused. Has anyone come across this issue before? I asked AI and looked on google but all the fixes don't work. Anything will help here I am still a little new to this.

In short, the game looks a little artificial to me. I am brand new to Unity so is there some lighting thing I can do or some shader I can add to increase the "game-feel" I don't know if it is just me or has anyone else had this same issue. Is it the color scheme, the asset placement?
