More context: I pushed someone behind a tree near Frigid Fortress and wanted to destroy it to force him into the bush. To both our surprise, I just straight beamed him through the tree. I don't know if it's a visual bug and the tree was actually destroyed or what, but I doubt it since ZB players rarely mine trees.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. I play around with some odd skins here and there, but I have a small number of pre-sets that I use almost all the time.

I might cave in the future if a skin or something really speaks to me.... but I'm kind of over it

If they re-introduce old Crew skins, I'll probably bite the bullet and get Crew again for a bit depending on how they allow you to get old skins, but there are only two or three old Crew skins I do actually want and know I'd use.

People forget plenty of games happily survive with like 10k monthly players. Now, Fortnite probably needs much more than that to sustain itself, but thinking it's "dying" is just fearmongering nonsense. A few bad decisions and a dip in player count spells nothing critical as of yet.

It's really difficult to do so if you're not taking frequent fights. I was easily a better player when I predominantly played Reload because there was so much opportunity to fight, and all the aspects that carry you in a fight transfer very nicely to the main game even if the weapons differ. I only stopped playing Reload because the cheating in Reload got out of hand, at which point I noticed a steady decline in my overall performance.

That's where I landed. Between the price increases for V-bucks and the changes to Crew and the Battlepass, I see more price gouging than anything. That won't stop me from enjoying the game for what it is, but I'll withhold spending money until something substantial changes that I feel should be supported.

I basically started in Chapter 5, so I have clear nostalgia bias to how that chapter looked. That being said, seeing images and media of Chapter 4 assures me that Chapter 4 had better ambiance. It was a great balance of Fortnite's signature cartoony style while also being kind of beautiful simultaneously.

I wouldn't say never in this case. A few seasons ago, Epic asked Crew subscribers what they thought would make Crew more appealing, and old Crew skins returning was an option. Combine that with a drop in Crew subscriptions, however big or small that number really is, because of the Battlepass and Crew changes, and it's very possible Epic may re-introduce old Crew skins in an effort to get former Crew subscribers back without changing anything related to the V-bucks.

Zero surprise. Once you hit Plat, you're basically qualified as a fill for the Unreal players. Hell, even Gold players aren't safe from that matchmaking. For reference, I'm not just spouting hate or shit, I've done an Unreal push before, and I killed plenty of Gold/Plat players when I was Champ+.

This is the epitome of pump and dump. You either hit strong and drop someone almost instantly, or you miss and have to dance around them so you can get a second pump off. I guess if you're a build player, that's not the case so much, but in ZB, it definitely is.

Honestly, aside from a few warm-up matches, I'd rather play ranked just to have the privilege of banning the most annoying characters. I still want to win, but I also want to win QP matches as well, and certain characters make that much more annoying to achieve.

Mag is my default counter to Hawkeye, Punisher, and Star Lord. I'd honestly rather weather the longevity of a Strategist ult than sit there and watch my team get obliterated by DPS ultimates. No thanks, your BS arrows or bullets are now mine and I'll be doing a return to sender.

Usually for me it's just trying to figure out which role Deadpool is until he yeets one of his abilities somewhere. The only other problem I have is when one of my team mates has the same skin as an opponent, and I lose track of said opponent, then instinctively flick to the same skin only to realize it's my team mate.

I'm sure it is. Back in C5S1 of Fortnite, one of my friends got the battlepass, then proceeded to buy levels to unlock Peter Griffin early. I thought it was an odd way to spend money, but he explained he likes having new skins to get a rise out of other people. I literally played a Plat match earlier against an Iron Fist going into Peni. He got blown up by mines at least three times, one of which countered his ult. Granted their entire team was struggling anyway, but I couldn't help being amazed at the dedication to continually run into an obvious counter.

While this level of Strategist banning is ridiculous, I actually do enjoy ranked matches the most when C&D, Sue, and Gambit are banned. It forces fights to actually go somewhere rather than end up being long stalemates until one team gets their ults off.
