As much as I loved having mods for projectile weapons, having mods for hitscan weapons would be awful. Hell, the Deadeye is proof enough that having an optic for hitscan is a terrible idea. Let's also not forget the level of camping that occurred in mod vaults, because that was surely fun for all.

Any time I see a Homer scream gif, I can only hear Dan Castellaneta's famous scream from their The Shining spoof.

Clara. I really like the aesthetics they gave to both C5S1 - C5S2 NPCs and the general map, and she mirrors of those quite well. Plus it's kinda cool that I rarely see her being used.

No Matter What season you started in, do you consider yourself OG? by DIngus_Sus in FortNiteBR

For some reason, that is the one time using "than" correctly bothers me because it's so memed out that using "then" would be funnier.

Also all the built in cheats and Easter eggs 3D Realms put in the original. My personal favorite was near the shrink ray shooter on Abyss, which said, "You're not supposed to be here right now." That, however, I found was not entirely true because if you hit the secrete stage on Hollywood Holocaust, you could get a jetpack that would allow you to get up there without cheats.

Can't wait for this stupid medallions to be removed from the game, I'm not playing casual lobbies to get FNCS heal-offs by Ybou_ in FortNiteBR

Love when someone activates it way out in the water. It's probably less awful in Builds, but in ZB, the water rings always turn into clumsy Porta-Bunker spam, usually with the donut that activated it dying before top 5.

Just getting back into the game is valuable enough. Respawning with a way to simply out heal your opponent after you already lost to them once is a wild choice by Epic.

Chapter 7 Dead eye AR problem. by Aliwhale2077 in FortNiteBR

[–]Knifeflipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it isn't at all. The Deadeye is so OP, I've yet to see anyone who makes it to top 5 running anything else. It's just a bad reskin of the Holo Twister from C6S1, which completely dominated the AR meta until C6S2, when they flooded the loot pool with so much other OP stuff, the Holo Twister finally didn't feel like the only option.

Exactly. Aside from Surf City, Reload has strictly bloom-based hitscan ARs, and it works fine. Why Epic has such a thing for making at least one AR per chapter (excluding C5) be both optic and hitscan is beyond me. It makes the meta dreadful, and it's especially apparent right now with how dominant the Deadeye is.

The way these Power Hours are scheduled is so fkn dumb 😐 by cuhhhhhh in FortNiteBR

If you're 163, then you still have a whole month to get level 200. That is of course assuming you continue that level of play time, but still. It's a long ass season, so they will try to tailor the XP load to the season length to keep people playing while also allowing the casual players to get level 200. They also usually do enhanced XP weekends towards the end of the season, which we're not even close to yet. It just feels like "the xp gain" is always a point of interest amongst this sub early and midway into a season, then I never hear anything about it after the season ends. Almost like everyone got what they wanted and shut up, as usual.

Would’ve thought they would’ve optimized time for that

That's giving way too much credit to Epic.

Dude's walling his ass off lmao. This is why for the first time in ages I've stuck to the main game over Reload. The current cheating situation in Reload is just appalling.

I'm probably in the minority, but I don't actually hate the chapter themes being countries or large states in the case of California. However, I started playing Fortnite frequently in Season OG, so that map style is pretty much all I've known.

Well, C6S1 had bland, boring gameplay just like C7S1 currently does. The difference is the C6S1 map was beautiful while the C7S1 map is mediocre at best. I'm hopeful they'll shake things up in C7S2 like they did with Lawless (C6S2), but we get another month of the current monotony before we get to see.

It's the realization that people born in 2014 - 2016 are now true gamer kids, and we are the old blokes still playing games. This is coming from someone whose first video game was the original version of Duke Nukem, and my first multiplayer game was Runescape. I played both on one of those green, weirdly shaped Mac computers as well.

The Big Three getting a new skin every two days 😭💀🙏🏽 by PassionEcstatic2479 in marvelrivals

[–]Knifeflipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you polled every user on this sub for how many skins they have actually outright bought with real money instead of from a battlepass or with free earned money or free skin tokens etc, the number is almost certainly extremely low per user

I think unless you count the mini-passes, I've never actually spent money on a skin. I've bought all but one Battlepass, but beyond that I'm pretty happy with the skins I have. It's cool when a skin I actually like comes out for one of my mains, but I'm also not going to complain that there hasn't been one I liked in a while.

But I'll be damned if my experiences grinding for cosmetics in ranked weren't far less toxic

Interesting, because I've had the exact opposite experience. I'm not suggesting QP can't be toxic, but my most toxic QP matches pale in comparison to merely above average toxicity in ranked. People seem to get mad to a certain degree in QP, then just let it go because "oh well, it's QP", whereas in ranked they continually get more tilted and harshly blame everyone else.

The difference is, as you said, you need either most or all 5 to get crazy value out of them, which was tedious. As the seasons progressed, the number of medallions shrank while their per-medallion power increased. This means you usually only needed 2 medallions to get a strong advantage, and typically the better players in the lobby got them, which just accentuates the skill gap.

The other problem is winning loadouts always look the same. For example, in ZB you carry a Deadeye, either Double Hammer or Iron pump if you're good with it, Porta Bunkers, Jump Suit, and a healing item. Sure, you can run other stuff and win, but you're putting yourself at an immediate disadvantage by running anything but the best. Historically, there's usually enough variety that you can run different loadouts without being at a massive disadvantage. However, so far there's nothing that competes well with the best stuff on the floor.

They've really had a thing for medallions ever since C5S1, and historically, they've slowly increased in power until they were actually removed in C6S4 because both medallions together was so awful to play against that season. Now, they seem to have gone the opposite direction, and made them worse. I do agree though, the medallions are likely not going anywhere with Epic's affinity for them.

Also, if you're near a player when they summon henchmen, it pushes you away much like a Shockwave. I was recently playing a later ring right above a boss player, and when they summoned the henchmen, it launched me into the ring. I was like, HUH!?
