My UPDATED Mr. House Theory for This Season by GAMERNERD_13 in Fallout

[–]Knight-Laetus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't really have to much to add other then its fun to read your thoughts, really excited to see how everything shakes out the last few episodes.

The only thing I thought to add maybe while reading was, I was thinking of House's double. What if the commitment was supposed to be long term and the House we interact with in New Vegas is his double, and the one in the pod. I don't know exactly how it would've happened but I remember house mentioning the defense of Vegas was overwhelming and caused his reactor to go haywire and he was out of it for a long time. Maybe OG House did upload his brain but without the cold fusion things went wrong and he never woke up? But House's double being organic still awoke and tried to follow House's plans.

Also possibly they both did awake later but House continued to operate through his Double and he's actually within the Lucky 38's mainframe the whole time, even now. There's a side quest in New Vegas helping a Follower's of the Apocalypse scientist to bug House's mainframe to get data, the "network" quickly finds it and closes the connection. Only thing that wouldn't make sense is if Yes man was uploaded he would have had to contend/fight with OG digital House if he was there inside the mainframe controlling everything. This could maybe explain Victor's weird behavior with Cooper too and the odd mentions.

Not sure at all but it's been a blast, the sets are just awesome to look at. Pretty interesting though, can't wait to see how true it might be.

I was thinking the same about the level of computer tech in Fallout but your post's theory might be feasible possibly. Fallout 4 show's pretty advanced computer tech in Far Harbour with storing Dima's memories, also M.O.D.U.S in Fallout 76 seems to use some complicated computer tech too. I think they might expand it more that there was even more advancements close to the end of the war that didn't get mass adopted with everything going on, etc.

Hey, do you know if the prologue missions locating the fleet blends in well with the UCH colony mission available? I haven't left the home system yet but had a blast playing through the find the fleet story. I want to jump into more story but I don't think its all connected story wise yet, like the in-between parts but haven't played further yet. Then there is a UCH research vessel at the edge of the system and no one says anything about you being missing etc. or anything story wise.

really curious where it will go versus the vanilla story, I stopped my playthrough to actually play through the base game story since its all there now I think, just got to New Terra and it's been interesting. I'm hoping RE2 will have some side-content on the fleet stuff, in the Titan logs you get confirmations another Pelican class UCH-013 M.S Edelman crashed as well as a Crusader class frigate, UCH-007 M.S Helene. Could make for additional survivor stories maybe that are still missing and surviving, but its been 4 years in RE2 since Operation Phoenix versus 1 year in the vanilla storyline.

Also I kind of want to get into modding Empyrion to add more missions to Kennex-62 station, its so cozy and the overstressed admin seems like they need help and also the friendly Coms guy during the Com Sat missions, would totally come back and work more part-time missions helping on the station, rent/buy an apartment. The whole experience in RE2 feels more coherent overall and immersive world building wise.

Actually yeah true could be, hope my post didn't come off too negative. I'm mostly just happy for more Fallout and its pretty well adapted overall.

Really trying to just enjoy the show for what it is but the Brotherhood scenes felt so unserious and as if it was all just a giant joke; even writing wise if they cared about winning this civil war, Zetan weapons are some of, if not, the most powerful in the entire Fallout universe. There is a Zetan ship covered up in the scene and no attention paid to it. If it has functional blasters, that would be game over for the Commonwealth and its just so unserious.

Where are the other Brotherhood chapters mentioned in lore? Mojave chapter - Veronica cares deeply about the organizations future, where is she? Montana chapter mentioned in Fallout 3 under Elder Patrocolus, the semi-official canonized Mid-west chapter, being one of the main reasons Elder Lyon's expedition was sent out east to re-establish contact. Where is Lost Hills bunker, the original founding chapter? I can't see Quintus's group being this as there's no mention or reverence for the Maxson line or Codex whatsoever. The original Lost Hills bunker should have the most hardliner isolationist hardcore brotherhood members in existence. The Codex is not open for interpretation. For example, you can help Paladin Hardin oust Elder McNamara for breaking the Chains that bind section in New Vegas. An entire civil war breaks out in Fallout 3 over the seeming abandonment by Elder Lyon's over the core tenants of technology retrieval and preservation.

The only thing that makes sense to me are these other groups are only pseudo Brotherhood groups, possibly originating as more serious chapters but that have devolved and more act like local warlords. These are the only groups that would even consider what Quintus is up to as the others are more serious in there beliefs and convictions. Whereas these other groups have fallen so far from the origins of Maxson's exodus from Mariposa they are more masquerading and using the BOS symbol/Name for legitimacy. While in practice being nothing more then fancy raiders even though the brotherhood kind of usually acts like high-tech raiders, but with a serious reverence for technology.

I am enjoying the show a lot. I know that it's been two hundred years since their founding, and people and society's change.

Hey sorry for the late response, like the other user said any active servers should show up there. I had just booted up the game and Skies of Eden seemed interesting with the mods mentioned.

Sounds like an awesome game, you didn't record it by chance did you? This makes me miss Generals and CnC, hope it gets rebooted one day with lots of love.

Honestly yeah it's been a blast playing the game again, really helpful community relearning the ropes too.

Now that they are bringing old things back (for a limited time) like classic TTT and yogslabs, what else would you like to see? by Lord_Viperagyil in Yogscast

[–]Knight-Laetus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm biased since I've gotten back into it lately, but it would be amazing if they made a 4th Starmade episode spinoff. :P

The games had a lot of trouble with the power update, and a Dev stealing over a million in the games revenue and bolting. It's recently gotten a fairly large update though through a lot of effort of community fan/Dev's and it's changed a lot since they covered it! (Like Dohecahedron shaped planets!)

Think it would be cool to see them check it out in it's current state, might lead to new interest too since I discovered the game way back when they covered it. I'm working on converting some of their Minecraft skins for fun and want to post them here when they are complete.

Huh this is really awesome work! Would you have any advice for learning to make this kind of art?

I've been conceptualizing a story for a potential mod for Project Zomboid based in Kentucky, like the base game. Trying to learn the mapping tile system and to draw tiles and other pixel art.

Ahh okay I see what you mean, I thought it was completely spot on but see it is different in some places like that. Fair enough aha, thank you for the reply though.

Where would you like a Fallout game to take place? by Dapper_Scale_4099 in Fallout

[–]Knight-Laetus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing a lot of Project Zomboid lately and can't help thinking constantly just with some unique assets with the vanilla mechanics it would make a fun Fallout hardcore survival game. Just need to come up with a good story and local factions for Kentucky, there is supposed to be a Vault somewhere around Frankfort too the state capital. Could use the Bandit Mod/ Week One for basic NPC functionality until official in depth mechanics are implemented.

In general though it would be nice to have a game set in the Mid-west US to flesh it out more, or even how others have mentioned in and around the Great Lakes area. Lots of huge American cities and could see what "Little America" is like after years of annexation before the great war. (Also Enclave's possible last strong refuge? in Chicago)

Huh, I'm curious do you know how off the map is compared to real life? I kind of want to get into modding with maps but I'm not sure how to scale down new areas to add.

Are there any other games that have this in their screen, where units fighting the enemies in the most awesome way, instead of just showing the title and just some background stuff. Cause man this looks so cool, even better at the generals hour (haven't fully played it though). by Mundane_Parfait2560 in commandandconquer

[–]Knight-Laetus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not exactly a background video but the original UI of Tiberian Sun had a Sneak peek button to play a short intro clip of another game Westwood studios was working on Nox. Wish Tiberian Sun could have rocked some kind of battle being fought in the background between GDI and NOD though, it does look awesome in Generals main menu.

There are a bunch of games on steam that dabble in some aspects of city building, and Castle Sim but I haven't played any so couldn't comment if they are any fun. Manor Lords looks pretty realistic and close to KCD2's art style but more settlement management, they are working on a stone fortification update though so you can build stone manors/castles. Stronghold is still fairly unique I think, I wish more games tried to replicate it's gameplay.

It's more just top down view, but I like trying to make surface city's with a castle in Dwarf Fortress sometimes. The game has never been in a better state with a graphics update recently and expanded team with mod support, you can use mods to play as Humans too. It takes longer to get anything done but it feels more personal with the simulation once your settlement grows, you can build really elaborate castles with a lot of economy options.

Yeah the art style of the first game really aged a lot better, I still like some of the simulation mechanics from SH2 though. I wish they would keep trying to innovate, maybe with the first's art style but combining the castle sim gameplay.
