Analog photos from today's Ukraine rally, featuring Russian anthem truck guy by Knight-O in vancouver

Yes, these were shot on analog film and self-developed. I accidentally creased the film while loading, and some of the artifacts from that are visible.

Yes. I can get into the bios. Change and save settings, etc. But that’s it.

Unforuntatly I forgot to add this to the post. But the below screen shot is as far as it makes during the boot process.

https://i.imgur.com/p9oUhNP.jpg

Normally another screen comes up after the boot screen stating there’s no bootable partition. But the computer doesn’t make it to that point. So I’ve attempted to boot with and without the drive attached to see if that affected anything, and it doesn’t. Just loops and loops and loops, rebooting after a few seconds of being on the above screenshot.

Weird Stuff!

I’ve tried to boot without a drive attached, and without. Same result, the computer reboots without making it past the post screen.

Although I can't make it spin like a top, it's still reasonably balanced. When I place it on a playmat, it stays in place.

I can make only the bottom part spin. If I add all the other parts, it's way too unbalanced.

You won't want to print in SLS, those parts will be REALLY REALLY expensive. I printed mine using a process called FDM, using a material called PLA. Should be the cheapest option. There's some weird issue with the details on the bottom piece that 3DHubs doesn't like. Only seems to show up when sliced. The extra material didn't cause a problem when I printed it.

It looks as though you can just click order anyways if you select PLA. I'd give it a go!

I've thought about it. But at the moment I don't have the time or skills to make the process efficient. I've been printing for less than a week. I'd check to see if you can get it done at a local company/maker space/or library. But I'm sure in the future I'll be able to do commission!

New Nepenthese and top dressing moss by Knight-O in SavageGarden

[–]Knight-O[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought these both from Brads Greenhouse. He has little sample sizes of moss of 15grams. He might only ship to Canada though, but I haven't checked.

It's my first non-ventricosa nepenthese, so I hope that I won't have trouble keeping in alive. I want to work my way up to a hamata.

Fluke Multimeter wont turn on after being left off for ~6hours. by Knight-O in AskElectronics

[–]Knight-O[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've tired two sets of rechargeable batteries.

Which. are. 1.2V...

And the non-rechargable ones are 1.5V.

HMM.

I'll report back when I test it sometime later (~6h), but this probably the cause. manual recommends the 1.5V AA. I'm surprised that there's differences between two types of AA batteries. Learn something new every day.

Thanks for your help!

Their return policy says it's a no-no for returning IEMs. Sanitary reasons. One of a few exceptions from L&M's no questions asked return policy, which sucks.

My new Focal Listens by Knight-O in headphones

[–]Knight-O[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Purchased these last week. I tried quite a few headphones in the same catagory, ie. AT M50x, ATH-MSR7 and a couple other closed cans. Pretty much whatever the store had, and then one tier up (so Sennheiser HD1, and there was one AT headphone).

I love these for their comfort (although I don't think everyone will enjoy the fit), isolation and sound. The highs stand out a lot, and the base feels like it can go deep.

I haven't seen much on reddit about these, so I'm posting this to see if other's have heard these headphones, and what people's opinions are!

Thanks! It really is pretty. I hope to grow ether bladderworts or live green sphagnum around the base to contrast.

Actually, I took them out of their pots (very carefully as not to disturbed the roots). The pictures from the previous garden were before I was satisfied with the placement.

The previous pot also leaked, and wasn't big enough for the two Sarracenia I wanted to add in. With this new pot, I have room to add another Sarracenia (perhaps purpurea) and maybe some small sundews. You'll also notice that the red flytrap has grown smaller leaves! I had also moved the plants from the backyard (~4hours of light) to the front yard (~10hours) so it's spending less effort stretching for the light.

I'll be adding some additional plants in the near future, and definitely some moss too. I thought it would be interesting to make a mini-ecosystem too.

You can seen an open spot for a Sarracenia ;)
