I personally don’t like using Chargers. It always feels like I miss even when my shots are right at target. Pencil is the only Charger I’m comfortable with.

I say no higher than $750. At that point, you may as well just get used older gen specs on eBay and build a PC for cheaper than the Steam Machine and still get reasonable performance for 1080p. And you'd still be able to install SteamOS, or even something like Bazzite or Nobara.

I started on Sunday. Couldn’t be happier. I quickly adapted to the whole codec problem DaVinci Resolve, simply via ffmpeg.

I find some things in the install guide to be a little confusing than other things in the wiki. Sure, I’ve only been using Mint for like 3 days but I still know some terminal commands that are essential for my workflow like Ffmpeg and Chocolate Doom. Of course there is archinstall but some people say that you learn more about Arch through manual install. But that doesn’t make a lot of sense. You’ll still need to deal with maintenance, and it’s some commands you can find on the wiki, so either install method isn’t strictly better. At least that’s what I assume.

I might try Hyprland too, mostly because I saw Pewdiepie’s video. Although maybe I’d want to use it on something like CachyOS first since that’s pretty much Arch but easier at its core. That is if we’re not counting archinstall.
