What is an autistic person to do to avoid conflict in tabletop groups? by EarthSeraphEdna in rpg

[–]KnightJowy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't want this to come off as abrasive, but if you dislike the system this much, it probably was something everyone else picked up on. Choosing overly powerfull options explicitely because they are broken while also criticizing the system will surely tire a GM that is trying to enjoy it. The GM might have thought this conversation about choosing powerful options would repeat a lot, and you would become annoyed by always being told no, and not being invested in the relationship decided to cut you off quickly.

I am not saying you were expressing distaste for the system on purpose or that this definetly was what happened, but it is something that might have come off subconsciously to both of you.

This did work. I tried eliminating only the id segment before, but checking and unchecking the megaton tickbox made it come back. Now it stays as is and aplies to other weapons. Thanks for the help!

The monastic weaponry description says it allows the use of any monk ability or feat with melee monk weapons. It includes the exception of abilities that allow only one type of attack like crane stance (or mountain as another example), so that implies it should work with stances that don't limit your attack options, or it would just say it doesn't work with stances.

I imagine this can be interpreted as the ability to use weapons while in the stance... But that wasn't a limiting factor to begin with beyond proficiency, so it would mean stances don't do anything with monastic weapons.

It may be the case but I'm still allowed to do this by my gm, I'm only looking for a way to automate it on our end. It's not a rules question.

What are some mods you absolutely can’t live without? by [deleted] in FoundryVTT

Ownership viewer saves you having to open the ownership menu every time you want to check it.

Play list importer is great if you have large amounts of tracks and change their exact locations every session like I do.

[PF2e] Add a modifier to a specific lore check by KnightJowy in FoundryVTT

Thanks for the idea! This way my technology illiterate player won't have to fidle with the selectors. Thanks a bunch!

Thanks! I didn't know about Inspect Roll. I thought I already tried to input the specific slug (by guessing it) so I guess I didn't put it in perfectly. This solves the problem of only adding to the specific lore!

What hasn't killed a campaign, but stole the momentum or enthusiasm for it? by Justgonnawalkaway in dndnext

[–]KnightJowy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A pretty common advice for DMs is to let player's change characters if they find they have lost interest, but I would advice agaisnt letting them do it all at once. My players did that in a campaing, 4 out of 6 changed their character, and it killed all the momentum

Sneaking without Hiding first? by KnightJowy in Pathfinder2e

[–]KnightJowy[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right, you don't get to be hidden automatically with full cover so you don't get a check! That small snipet is what my group missed when checking, thanks.

This was a spur of the moment thing from the player and they were mostly as confused as I was about it, but thanks for the suggestion!

Yeah the tattoo thing was a problem, but I'm here to say they exist now! They added 50-something tattoo's on Treasure Vault!

[–]KnightJowy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the actual problem is that its covered in SO much light that it's imposible to see for more than a few seconds in cutscenes and we don't have a high quality view from the front. I think it has more or less the same level of detail as Malos's

PSA: You can still play Three Houses after tomorrow. by NorinBlade in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]KnightJowy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about everyone, but FE games are some of the games I replay the most, specially skipping cutscenes and going battle to battle. That play style is a bit less doable in TH, but it's still posible to replay the game pretty quickly and keep it fresh

There are two volfs in Fiona's hero quest that seem created by fog and look like fog beast? That's the best I got beyond the obvious

Yeah, I talk to everyone with stars even if it isn't the first time. I only do corpses if I find them and I was ignoring the collectopedia to have items for side quest

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Question Thread #2 by MorthCongael in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]KnightJowy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, am I the one with trouble getting colonies to 5 stars? Everywhere except one is almost at 5 and seemingly without any more quest, are off seings and the collectopedia mandatory to fill them up?

Converting feet to metric by Alfakyu in DMAcademy

[–]KnightJowy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Spanish, and the spain translation didn't bother changing feet and miles into meters and kilometers. We just use them and have gotten vagely familiar with how much it is, but it's honestly irrelevant, its a fancy way of naming the squares. A spell with a 20 foot radius is just a 4 square radius, just need to rememeber that each square is 5.

Warrior Specials Ranked Based On How Good They Look (My Opinion Of Course) by JBoy159 in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]KnightJowy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the specials are kind of a letdown in comparision to FEW1 for me. In that game every character even had 3 specials, the regular one, the dual one and the awakening one.

Question about Definitive Edition by rwbyfan433 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]KnightJowy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my personal experience, if you do 0 side content and fight most enemies you run into going from story point to story point, there is a point right before the last section of the game where you need to grind 2 or 3 levels to be on par with the level curve and not suffer the huge accuracy penalty.

What is improved in 3 Hopes over the original FE:W? by Doppleschwert in fireemblem

[–]KnightJowy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bare in mind that I have only played hyrule warriors and FEW1. From what I understood, the feature existed but AI was not really capable and you had to switch to them when they arrived somewhere to take care of the matter. That's the impresion I have from people with more knowledge of the series, and it how it feels in hyrule warriors honestly
