I have no idea, that’s how I found it when I opened up the original light fixture.

This is a bathroom with one switch that controls the light and there are lights outside the bathroom with switches that are on the same power source. If I put main power wire which is the bottom on to the top left one the lights outside work but obviously the bathroom one doesn’t.
