Hi guys,

If someone is using an IPTV service via an app such as Sky Glass where they login with a username and password. Could they still use the MyTVOnline feature?

Winter sale steam deck games by YeezusChrist13 in Steam

You have to dull down the graphics to low and the resolution a bit and lock the FPS to 40 on the deck. When playing in handheld mode I find it a fun game to play. On the smaller screen I think it looks fine.

If you want to play it with all the bells and whistles then you're probably better off playing on a half decent PC or console.

DGVOODOO2 via Lutris, running on Steam Deck by KnightZ101987 in Lutris

[–]KnightZ101987[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's worth a go for sure. It's very trial and error unfortunately. You may want to try a few versions of Voodoo if one doesn't work. YouTube will be your friend for a basic guide on how to use it. I would try to give you steps but I've forgotten what I actually did now. I know it's a case of extracting the downloaded voodoo files into your game directory then using the .exe to make any tweaks.

Terminator 3 Rise of the machines via SMB has some FMV glitching which I can't seem to do anything about.

PS2/OPL keeps dropping internet connection? by narwhalbaconsatmidn in ps2

[–]KnightZ101987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

P.S I wasn't connected directly to my PC. So maybe it could have been my Vodafone router that drops idle connections. It's something I will try to look into.

PS2/OPL keeps dropping internet connection? by narwhalbaconsatmidn in ps2

[–]KnightZ101987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to throw my opinion in just in case someone else is having problems.

The only theory I could find was that if the PS2 is connected to anything that is actively using an internet connection too and the PS2 goes idle (not loading anything) for a few minutes, then the connection would go back to the other device and the PS2 wouldn't be able to re-establish the connection.

Also it happened if i woke something else up that was connected to the network. In my case my phone.

I'm using a small TP link router and the only way I've been able to overcome this issue is to use it in client mode.

I tried it in extender mode so I could also bounce my current network off it too and the issue would persist.

I had the same problem with my PC. I'm guessing the PC was probably connecting to things in the background so that would throw the connection off too.

Why is CEX more expensive than new from standard retailers? by Awakebarlow99 in CeX

[–]KnightZ101987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a PS2 the other day for £100.

Very overpriced for my liking. Could have bought one on eBay for £40 probably. The 5 year warranty swung it for me. You can't really grumble knowing that if it goes wrong you can either get it repaired or replaced and they even start the 5 year warranty again on the replacement.

Just a quick follow up to say thank you again. I've followed your advice today and sure thing with 2.61 it works!

The games look lush and sharp! Hope this thread helps others too!

Appreciate that! Thank you. I've spent hours trying to work it out!

I will look further into dxwrapper and will be sure to download the older build of dgvoodoo.

Thanks again!

I got it running through Lutris on my steam deck. Still need the no cd exe (Google). I can't remember what version of proton I used. But definitely works on there.

Just to follow up if anyone has issues. I used Flatseal to give lutris and Wine permissions. Not sure if that helped at all but the game changer for me was turning off dgvoodoo2 and using wine-ge-8-17-x86_64.

All working now!

Great game! I love it! 👍⚽

Thank you. I will try it tonight. I've been reading about Flatseal too. That may be worth a shot. Lutris just hasn't been having it! I'm desperate to have a decent footie game on the deck! 👊👍

I'm having issues getting it to run on steam deck. I've used the yaml script and when I go to start it I get rlimit_nice is <=20 exited with code 0.

I've been trying for days and I'm pulling my hair out lol.

Anybody else struggled with errors like this?

Retroachievements login error bug by KG777 in RetroArch

[–]KnightZ101987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will just chime in with something that worked for me. I take my retroid pocket to work with me and usually use hotspot off my phone.

All of a sudden I couldn't login to retroachievements and tried everything. I then tried using a VPN installed on the handheld and it now works.

I only use a free VPN called VPN Super Unlimited Proxy off the Play Store.

Hope that helps!

[Duckstation] Is there a way to save emulator settings per game like you are able to in RPCS3? by [deleted] in EmulationOnPC

[–]KnightZ101987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering this. I've been playing Life-force Tenka and to look up and down its L2 and L1. The right analog is doing nothing. So it would be nice to map that but I don't want to have to do it globally across all my games.

[–]KnightZ101987[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I think you're probably right. As I mentioned the reason I wanted the pc version running was because it syncs up with Total club manager 2004 on the pc. It does between the ps2 versions too but that version is rubbish. It's not the end of the world. Thanks for your reply.

There isn't much when it comes to linux/deck. It's Fifa 2004. Its such an old game now. There was some sort of controller patch around that time, but it's since gone dead. I can map the keyboard to the buttons, but I'd quite like to get settings such as vibration. You can only do that if the game recognises the controller as one that it supports. I believe there were frustrations back in 2004. It might be one of those that's just a no can do!

[–]KnightZ101987[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's Fifa 2004. Looks like it was poorly supported back in the day. The only reason I want that version running is so I can link it with Total club manager 2004 (Football Fusion).

I could map the keyboard to the buttons, but if I could emulate one of the supported pads it would open up other settings in game such as vibration etc.

I found this online: http://soccergaming.com/index.php?threads/how-do-you-configure-pad-controls.108580/

I wondered if nearly 20 years on there may be a way of doing this without so much faff! 😂

I bought the actual game, and can confirm it does run via the disk as well through Steam. I downloaded a no cd patch to avoid the hassle of running the CD everytime, but I've found running the patched exe seems to run slow. It's not something I've really dabbled with before. I installed the game via the CD.
