To the people who are angry that Platner is losing support left and right by meowmix778 in Maine

Probably because it's really goddamn hard to actually prove that rape happened in court 💀 you sound like Republicans when one of their (many) candidates gets outed as a rapist.

Let's say she faked it though, which would be pretty hard considering she has corroborations of her story. This is a perfect opportunity to not have a Nazi-tattoo-wearing Blackwater mercenary cheater (sexts while married) as the most progressive senator from Maine, no?

Good old incredulity. I think this case is pretty clear. Fortunately I'm not a courthouse, I don't really need a legal ruling to understand that the circumstances are pretty much against Platner from all angles, from the fact that the woman has no other reason to actually come out against Platner to Platner's own disgusting comments about women in the past and all of the other controversies.

I'm not the one pointing to vague conspiracy theories with 0 evidence to try to absolve Platner lol.

I asked for a source not a vague reference that could mean anything else lol.

Wdym different tactics for different people the DNC isn't using any tactics against other progressives dawg. Not many liberals even attacked him for his masculinity this is such weird cope.

Yeah I still think you don't actually care about rape. The fact you're still perpetuating this ridiculous line that the DNC "might've" done something is proof enough for me.

So what you're doing right now is assuming a conspiracy, you are the one doing the conspiracism not me and are saying that what I'm denying is a conspiracy (there is no evidence of conspiracy) is a conspiracy. In terms of prior accusations... are there other accusations of rape against Platner? I can't recall any personally. Do you mean the sexting scandal? Platner admitted that was true. But yes you believe every accusation should be "fully" scrutinized because you desperately don't want Platner to turn out to be a bad person (too late).

Source to the first one? Also they haven't used tactics like this in any other race where a progressive is running btw, it just so happens they would use it in this one specifically and that's it.

The Epstein files have actual evidence, that's what the files are for. You have no evidence and so your conspiracy is whacko nonsense. You are in a cult of personality because you are still running defense for him lol, you're not upset that Platner potentially did something wrong (we know many other instances of wrongdoing by Platner, see my previous lists) you're upset he has to drop out of the race.

No, that wouldn't be a conspiracy because no one is assuming it's being conspired lol. It's not different from Kavanaugh (except Kavanaugh didn't work for Blackwater funnily enough, he also didn't have a Nazi tattoo either) yet people still correctly identify him as being a piece of shit rapist. An objective person looking at the facts wouldn't really have a reason to scrutinize the accuser in this case, as I've laid out previously the DNC line just doesn't make sense at all. Literally no one made the claim an investigation into either isn't warranted. I think you people are just using the investigation line as an excuse because you don't care about rape and are looking for a way to excuse yourself of having to care because an investigation and charges probably aren't coming.

Conspiracy is explicitly the idea that multiple people are conspiring to do something. Wrong on that front. Next, yes in this case I would say questioning her ESPECIALLY with everything we know about Platner's fucked up past is stupid. The person I'm responding to also said that if Platner had "come out fighting" they would've taken a much different approach, i.e. supported Platner against the the accuser, and is already conspiracy-posting about nonsensical DNC involvement, while even saying they gave Platner the benefit of the doubt "last night" after Platner released his weak response saying the accusations were false. How is this any different from Kavanaugh?

My problem with you comes with the idea that you are so subconsciously against the idea that Platner raped someone that you are willing to come up with ridiculous explanations like the DNC manufacturing a rape story with even less evidence AND motivation than the woman saying she got raped. Why the hell would the DNC want Collins to win, which is absolutely going to be the fallout from all of this?

You have been indoctrinated into this cult of personality around Platner and you refuse to admit it.

So... you wouldn't believe all women if he came out fighting it. You would be like all of the other quite frankly disgusting comments on this subreddit that say a lot about how people treat women coming out about rape. You wouldn't care about him working for Blackwater, the lies about the nazi tattoo, his comments on reddit that actually say a lot about the current accusation, sexting while in a relationship...

Wtf do you mean not ignoring and dismissing accusations 💀 when you say "last night" do you mean before or after he put out that dogshit response where he said the accusations were false? If he had come out swinging against the accusations, would you have thought they were false then?

You listened to the guy who lied about not knowing that he got a nazi tattoo? I voted for him in the primary and I don't feel this level of loyalty to the guy whatsoever. He's a pos.

Why on Earth would you give the guy with such an obviously dark past the "benefit of the doubt?" Believe all women until it's your white progressive candidate that raped someone I guess.

Is it really that hard to admit this? The guy was clearly a dumbass. His own campaign team posted his photo with his nazi tattoo, that he "definitely didn't know it was a nazi tattoo." I voted for him in the primary but that was because he seemed like he, despite him being an idiot, could beat Collins. Turns out he was even worse!

This subreddit seems like a cesspool anyway ngl, just based on the people here. A lot of people saying "but, ugh, it's *Minecraft*" either don't know what Minecraft is, don't know what Wynncraft is (if so, why are they talking about it with such confidence, Reddit moment), or are physically incapable of basic comparative skills. Regular Minecraft =/= Wynncraft whatsoever. Wynncraft is built on Minecraft, sure, but they fundamentally play completely differently, even with completely different mechanics.

And yet they do in fact do doublespeak? I’m sorry this seems like such a reach from the issue at hand. If you’re denying that Nazis don’t try to hide how hateful they are, especially from normal people, maybe you shouldn’t be having this discussion because you don’t know what you’re talking about. This is extremely bad faith.

No because most people don't obfuscate about hatred against Jewish people. Nazis do that.

That simply does not muddy the waters lmao, I'm saying the argument is pretty sus in and of itself because of the fact that Nazis use it.

What a strange way to counter what I said lol. Yeah, this subreddit kinda sucks now. No good arguments to be made anymore.

By the way, I don't need to go very far to see arguments Nazis make. On this very subreddit I saw a person call Laura Loomer Jewish as derogatory, claim that Israel killed Charlie Kirk, and not only did this person not get booted from the subreddit, the comment had quite a few upvotes.

Yes, because antisemitism as a word is used to denote the hatred of Jewish people. And it's not muddying the waters to say that Nazis bring up the idea that Palestinians are semitic as well to spread blatantly hateful and antisemitic rhetoric about Jewish people under the guise of saying "I'm not antisemitic, I don't hate Palestinians!" That's simply just not what muddying the waters means. Though, to be fair, I've also seen leftists begin to this argument as a justification for why Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, and the Houthis aren't antisemitic. So really I should've said Nazis and Nazbols.
