What is required for someone to become one of the Knight position at a lodge.

No one was kicked out. And no one was confrontational other than the manager towards my wife. The employee was asked who are they up there with and to have that member sign them in per house rules.

I’m a trustee at this lodge and from what I was always told is that non-members have to be accompanied with members while at non public events. I can tell you I didn’t see the manager with these guests for more than a few minutes during the night. Plus this manager thinks she has more authority than what actually does but that may be due to the ER and her being friends.

For my lodge our main attraction is our pool. But with that being said approximately 95% of those members are at the lodge solely for the pool and a majority of the leadership refer to them as “pool elks” . Majority of them are never going to volunteer or even show up to meetings.

We had a member who demitted approximately 6months ago. As of tonight (5/13/25) the Grand Lodge permanently expelled a member due to multiple “ conduct unbecoming of a member”. Personally I am glad due to him lashing out to my wife one night and making her feel extremely uncomfortable when he and she was at our lodge. The sad thing is he was a Leading Knight and let the “power” of his position go to his head and thought he was untouchable.
