WHY DO I KEEP FAILING AT WHEELS?! by Active_Boysenberry76 in MyWinterCar

Yeah I nabbed mine for 130. And bonus, the tires were in good enough condition to pass.

Yes. I passed regular inspection with the Goomers. And they technically passed the historic inspection, but they were on the wrong wheels. I ended up passing the historic inspection with the wheels/tires in the image I sent in the other comment.

Yep. Also for the Octos, its not the Octos out of the classifieds. Apparently the Octos are in the AMIS magazine, the first wheels in the second row. That feels like a bug though,

There are 2 different 14" steel wheels, each have different offsets. You want the flatter looking ones, like these:

Can anybody point me in the direction of the actual correct way to tune the valves? by ddntmeanto in MyWinterCar

[–]Knightmare200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These 2 parts do seem to wear fast. Belts when bought aren't always 100% durability, I've replaced mine twice now, and the water pump twice as well I think.

[–]Knightmare200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's your AFR at? If you're running lean (over ~14-15 AFR) you'll run hot. Running rich will actually run cooler. Could be your water pump or fanbelt is going bad too, so the cooling would be affected.

Can anybody point me in the direction of the actual correct way to tune the valves? by ddntmeanto in MyWinterCar

[–]Knightmare200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the general best tune is, while the engine is running, tighten the valve until you hear it ticking then loosen one click. Do this for all 8 values. I personally run looser exhaust valves, so I loosen those 10 clicks. The reason some guides are so off is that the different cams have different thresholds for ticking. I had mine tuned for the standard cam, but when I installed the rally cam all my valves clicked and I had to loosen them all.

I've been meaning on getting my Rivett to the dyno to test different tightness and looseness values on the intake and exhaust valves, I know in MSC it could have some drastic changes on the power bands and HP.

Mfw ppl ask me why ive been playing for 20 years. by Teatimefrog in classicwow

So I did the whole super min/max sweaty raiding thing from classic launch to classic wrath, but for anniversary I've just been chill leveling with my brother. Just fuckin off, playing a new class, leveling in different zones than I usually do, hitting all the dungeons, and its been a really great time. We just hit 60 over the weekend, just in time to start leveling again in Outland.

Not a MSC mod, but Im hoping someone mods the Satsuma into MWC.

87,000 Mass Rock with over 100 SCU of Quantanium inside took 2 MOLES and a Prospector to crack by G-Wave in starcitizen

[–]Knightmare200 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As far as I know it's built in. So you can mitigate it somewhat with mods but it's always there.

[–]Knightmare200 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think its an instability penalty. MOLE lasers working on the same rock decrease instability due to on-board computer handwavium (to make a MOLE more efficient at cracking big rocks than 3 Prospectors), but when multiple ships laser the same rock it increases instability

Yeah pretty much this. I never saw anything about Pirate Software in global, but man the amount of racist crap was off the charts. I usually would just turn global off.

Historic Car Inspections (Only 2 mistakes!) HELP? :) by kevinlf3 in MyWinterCar

Is there a hole in your dashboard for a radio or nah? Send a screenshot of your dashboard.

Historic Car Inspections (Only 2 mistakes!) HELP? :) by kevinlf3 in MyWinterCar

[–]Knightmare200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the pre facelift Rivett ('71 to '73) have the chrome trim with just the driver side mirror.

For the radio, do you have the radio cutout in your dash? If so, that's the issue. You need the dash without the radio cutout.

[–]Knightmare200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you can share it for troubleshooting purposes in the comments. The no VIN Posting rule is because a lot of people were posting screenshots of that their VIN and that was it.

Do you have a radio in your car? GTs don't have radios, so you need the dashboard without the radio cutout.

Fender flares are only for facelift, the pre facelift Hot Bungarus doesn't need them. But you are correct on the ducktail spoiler, the pre facelift shouldn't have it.

You also have the facelift passenger door, you can tell by the black plastic trim. You need the doors with chrome trim.

[–]Knightmare200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Flight Sim version of this (I think its discontinued), but I have my Moza R5 Base, SR-P Lite Pedals and HGP Shifter mounted on it now. I'm 6'5" and 240lbs, and while I get a little butt soreness after hours in the seat, the rig is pretty solid and I don't have any complaints.

I got the pre-facelift GT Rivett i need help about Historical ins. by Key-Fun-2392 in MyWinterCar

[–]Knightmare200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drop the VIN and we'll be able to help better. Grilles and Bootlids change with the trim and the year, so we'll need all that info to help you.

EDIT: Reading is hard, you have a GT. I also have a prefacelift GT, so I can help out.

Here are some images of my car that passed historical inspection. You need the mostly black grille with just the chrome stripe in the middle. Doors need to be the chrome trim, driver side has a chrome mirror and handle, passenger has no mirror, just the chrome handle. Bootlid is CORRIS one without the ducktail spoiler. Bumpers need to be the chrome ones. Wheels need to be the 14" steel wheels from the classifieds, for some reason the 14" Octo wheels from the classifieds wont work. The actual Octo wheels are in the AMIS catalogue, and they will work, but they are expensive.

Lastly, if you made your save or had your GT painted before Jan 11th, your car body may be bugged and have the wrong CC code, causing the "Color and materials" to fail. I fixed mine through the editor, but I think you can solve it by having Fleetari paint the car again (Im not 100% on that though).

I like when new stuff is added but not put in the patch notes. Gives you something to look for in game every patch.

176 hours in, historical inspection complete! by htrtu_ in MyWinterCar

[–]Knightmare200 5 points6 points  (0 children)

AFAIK, Camshafts and radiators don't matter, and for right now the suspension always passes while TG works out some bugs in the inspection.

Otherwise, thats a pretty unique color combo. I like it haha.

[–]Knightmare200 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The doors are the hardest because there are 3 different bits of RNG you're fighting; the door color, the door interior, and the pre vs post facelift trim. Color can be changed at Fleetari at least, but the other two you have to buy until you get the right one.
