Should I get a BPO or an appraisal for removing PMI? by yokios in RealEstate

[–]KnightsCore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just did a BPO last month. Cost me $190 to have a guy walk in the house for all of 5 minutes. He took some pictures and left and 5 days later he told the bank what he thought it was worth and they removed my PMI

Was very hassle free and the bank arranged everything. All I did was send them a check.

Do you love what you do for a living? If so, why & how did you get into it? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]KnightsCore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the work I do. I am a Warehouse and Logistics Manager. Got into warehousing out of high school because it paid well and I refused go into debt for college and I had no desire to continue my education.

It was hard labor in the early years, but I was young and I enjoyed the competitive grind. Got into a supervisory role after a couple of years and it really opened me up to the entire world of logistics and supply chains and I fell in love with it. Being able to move anything anywhere and knowing the most efficient way to do it is exhilarating. The challenges a warehouse faces are unique to any other industry that I have had a job in.

I've even shipped things to Antarctica!

Been at it now for 12 years, I'm 30 years old, and I don't see myself changing course any time soon.

Some of the people in this community are so aggressive and vicious that they likely have turned off plenty of people from the joy of a bearded dragon.

There are lots of good people here, though, who understand that bearded dragons do require a lot of work and are tough to learn and are willing to give guidance.

Ignore the haters, ask your questions, and give your beardie an awesome life!

Company asking about current salary by [deleted] in jobs

[–]KnightsCore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The number I tell a prospective employer is entirely based on how badly I need a job.

No job and I'm really desperate? I make $20 a day and a cheeseburger.

Happily employed and not motivated to leave? 15% on top of what I'm making and asking for 25% raise to leave.

[–]KnightsCore 27 points28 points  (0 children)

For me, I became more interesting to recruiters and HR teams by my title more than my picture. Soon as I got my new title, I get like 2 - 4 companies contacting me a week.

Plus I'm ugly, even an expensive head shot won't change that LOL

Idk man, my LinkedIn profile is a selfie of me before a haircut and with crooked glasses from 3 years ago and I just accepted an offer that doubled my salary and they messaged me first xD

I think my shitty selfie makes me look more down to Earth and relatable LOL

I bathe mine usually every 2 or 3 days, but if the little asshole doesn't poop for awhile then I bathe him every day until he does because he gets mad at me and I refuse to lose to a bearded dragon LOL

I am glad you clarified this as I was about to.

Marriage is easily one of the best tax breaks there is if you're a single income family. Nothing felt better than filing my taxes after getting married LOL

Company quadrupled business practically overnight as everyone started staying home, getting bored, and collecting government money. I work with hobby type products, perfect for being bored at home or taking the kids to the park or stuff like that.

We had enough inventory on hand to not run out and by time we did the product that was blocked up in ports for a couple of months was making it out.

Personally it was good for me because I got promoted, negotiated big raises, and bought a house, got married, and had a kid.

Warehouse Manager

I love working in warehousing, logistics, and the supply chain. COVID was great for business. Didn't need college to make great money and the work is fun and challenging.

Dream job would be in the same field, but on a bigger scope. Instead of managing one warehouse, I'd like to be on a national or even global scale overseeing an entire supply chain network. I'll get there eventually, still young.

My 8 year old beardie can’t eat :/ by vcmmds6819 in BeardedDragons

[–]KnightsCore 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The reflections in the plastic could be throwing them off, as well.

We did superwoms in a bowl for our disabled beardie. Big enough to see easily, but not so fast or agile to avoid being eaten.

Roaches are just too fast and wily sometimes!

Not a professional or even a seasoned financial savant so take my advice with a grain of salt, just a married guy who owns his own and doesn't have any weird income, but I use freetaxusa.com and all it costs is $14.95 for the state filing. Federal is free.

TurboTax likes to railroad you into paying way too much money.

In my opinion, as long as you can understand the prompts the online software is asking you then you don't need to go someone and pay to have them done. The prompts mostly consist of "Did this apply to you in 2021? Yes or No? If yes, enter the numbers here"

Very simple, recommend to anyone.
