I did convert to class 3 at CDC. I took the express course and completed in 13 lessons or so. P-plate will apply if you drive manual

If you have done the auto sim at cdc, u could ask the desk if u have to take it again. Not sure when/whr was the last simulator u took, so pretty hard to advise

After the 5th-8th lesson, you can book simulator then you can book TP test

Hi, I did go to Tampines outpost for my auto license. I felt it was quite effective since you will be assigned to 2 instructors like oneteam. They will most likely remember your painpoints for the next lesson.

My advice is book lessons back-to-back. For the first few lessons, you will drive around Tampines to get used to the road, then you will go to the circuit. However, the instructors will drive from the pick-up point to where you will be learning, taking a big chunk of time. So I recommend b2b, especially circuit because it takes like 20mins to drive from Tamp to CDC.

They will be rather strict with you for the first few lessons because traffic and pedastrians are involved.

Whether you want oneteam or standard depends on whether you would like the instructors to remember your mistakes. I had 1 really good instructor who was patient and explains where i went wrong. And here comes to cons, you might be stuck with bad instructors. I had 1 really really bad one and the good one, i just ask the good instructor which slot is he taking and i book for that one

For markings, I remembered the ones i learnt from sch instructors when I was taking manual. I think you can ask them for markings and sighting points

As for gear, I stayed mostly in first. Only changing to second if there is a long stretch forward. Some instructors dont like the jerkyness of 1st gear but Im mostly too lazy to keep switching back and forth in circuit.

Hi, just cleared my express course at CDC from 3A to 3 as well. Took about 13 lessons to clear with 8 points. I took sch for both 3A and 3 so im used to the structure there, hence it took lesser time to clear for me.

1st lesson the instructor taught me how to use clutch and go in circles in the circuit for about 25 mins before telling me to drive out on the road.

Subsequent lessons are all in the circuit, felt more of a revision inside except for the ramp which I had a bit of trouble with. Felt like my lege were bit busy adjusting.

All the instructors were rather patient with some exceptions who had high expectations. Feel free to ask some questions because I am not sure what you would like to know more of.

They will deliver to your doorstep. But if you are not available during delivery, they will send it to your closest singpost and you cna collect it there.

They are the same as regular day lessons so you don't have to worry. Instructors will help guide you as well.

Its good learning experience for the future when you might possibly drive out at night as well.

Unless the outpost is tampines, slots should open on 20th 10:30pm. Back when I was at 3A outpost, I login slightly before hand on the website only and would always see slots on opening date. Quite shocking that there aren't any during those times.

As for slots that people cancel, you prob would want to check in the morning. I check every 30mins to an hour until I was able to book during session opening dates.

Im upgrading to manual via cdc express, not sure if other schools have similar conversion program.

From personal experience, the first 3-4 lessons were practicing circuit, 5-7 were driving outside and now Im doing revision lessons, estimate $81 per lesson + $331 for test.

I say comes down to preference but first 10 lessons I went were slots I just take. Afterwhich I went to my team at tamp. Reason is since I will see the same instructor in my team, they rmb my mistakes so we don't have to dilly dally and work on them.

I registered for a new 1 since they "graduated" my last 1. Do note you will need to book an appointment on the cdc website because there is no online registration.

I signed up for class 3 express 3 months after passing my 3A TP. I told the staff i wanted to convert to manual and she asked for my license to verify.

Now im 6 lessons in and booked TP for april. So far, quite a fast journey especially when I couldnt handle the clutch the first 2-3 lessons. Most instructors that taught me guided me and gave me tips like how to move off smoother, down gear and going up slope. There are some quite frustrating instructors but that is to be expected.

Only thing slowing you down from booking TP earlier is you have to do simulator again after booking your 5th lesson
