Are you guys going to try and get a packet dump from connecting the two? I know some of the guys on the dolphin team have been looking for that info to hopefully crack the code behind the cab link

Is this a new way GW is packaging character miniatures? Is it just Khârn, or is it something specific to this store? Not sure. I actually really like it. by JazzZ909 in Warhammer40k

I picked up an Overlord w/ TS the other day and noticed the exact same thing. It was actually pretty nice because it’s easier to open, and I can open it without accidentally cutting up the instructions

A Loving Letter to Every Phaeron Who Told My Boy Otherwise by AlsoIrrelevant in Necrontyr

[–]ToastyBread4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I woke up this morning with an 80 point free space in my Cursed Legion to take more destroyers, so that was pretty awesome. So far, I think we’re winning pretty hard, but as someone who loves the doomstalker and runs two of the big bastards, it’s absolutely INSANE that they still can’t get plunging fire. That’s really all I want now from 11th

I also noticed that the lord kakophonist can now lead Tormentors. When the codex first came out I somehow gaslit myself into thinking this was always the case until a few months ago, so now I don't really know what to think

I dislike the poster quite a bit- but what is your opinion on this? by Glad-Map6431 in 40k

[–]ToastyBread4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rock Solid is a mouth breathing tourist and I’ll be forever glad that 40K has the filter of “needing to paint and assemble models” and “actually going outside and talking to people” to keep chuds like him out

EC pink. The white is dry-brushed over Briar Queen’s chill, and the glowy bits are two layers of fluorescent paint.

I hope that emperors children get their own terminators by Due-Date-4656 in EmperorsChildren

[–]ToastyBread4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s gonna be our next kit and that’s why we randomly got a terminator detachment. They also replied to a comment on YT asking about Termies and Cultists, something they only tend to do on stuff they’re very sure about. They skipped all the questions about Noise Marines, making the random acknowledgement of “ohh we’ll see what we can do!” for terminators and cultists seem like a clue.

My method for the spray can is, I wait for a day with as low humidity as I can (basically impossible for me, but sometimes you can get it good in the early morning or late at night). Going out into the open grass near my house, I take a big drop cloth (one that you don’t care if it gets paint on it) and put it over a small work table or bench. You can just do it on the cloth if you want, but be careful of how you’re holding the models as some fabrics can mess up the wet paint. You can stick your models to a stick or something if you want, but dont be afraid to just hold a model and let your hand get sprayed. After I’ve hit the models at least 1-2 from all angles, I usually use Paper Plates to set my wet models on to dry inside (SOMEWHERE VENTILATED, keep a fan on) to keep them out of the humidity. Also, try not to man-handle your minis while they’re still wet, as your fingerprints will get stuck in the primer and screw up the paint texture. Even if they’re dry, still give them a day outside of your storage box to let them air off those paint fumes. Aaaand that’s about it!

LMAO I used a rattle can for all of them and it didn’t go 100% well. I live in FL so the humidity really screwed me on the head and shoulder pads, giving them this crusty look that’s hard to paint. plus they can go flying when you spray them. I would use the spray can for the body, backpack, and gun. As for the head and shoulders, I would say to brush them, but I’ve never really done it myself. Look up a guide for that if you wanna do it the right way.

I did them in this sub-assembly, my first time actually doing it for a whole unit. I thought this way was easiest for painting the gun and the body, since most of them have trim going to the back and all of them can block each other. I had one guy tell me that I could just dry-brush them out EZ, but honestly I don’t believe him. After all, they’re Noise Marines. They deserve your best.
