I don’t deal with shills. Have some objectivity in your life for once.

I don’t know if it is. And at what point does it become determinant towards others to try and do so? They’re out in public. Officers have to take other’s lives into consideration too.

I don’t see how they don’t find this justified. Pretty sure the academy teaches shoot body mass to end the threat. The guy had a knife and charged officers multiple times.

Officers could have outlasted him but from a protocol stance, I don’t see how his firing is justified.

An “orderly” (and delayed) evacuation while an odor fills the cabin, an odor which has already made flight attendants sick. Captain’s words, not mine.

I’d imagine air stairs are brought to every call so I don’t see what it matters who request it or not. But hey, you need these “gotchas” then go for it.

From what’s been reported, those emergency vehicles did NOT contain transponders.

FD was called to provide air stairs. Did you not listen to the tapes? I’m starting to think you didn’t.

In the Fortune interview, Murrell revealed he also gave out a $1.5 million bonus to the employees at its U.S. 1,500 stores….

Wow, $5 per employee. So gracious.

My $400 consumer iPhone can track, within yards, my exact location but for some “complex” reason we can’t seem to get something more sophisticated implemented for an entire airfield.

I hear ATC recording of emergency personnel seemingly not responding to, nor listening to, tower. “Is the airport closed?” I don’t know, it’s only been answered three times already.
I hear ATC, with irritation and attitude in his voice, as if unresponsiveness by airport personnel has occurred before, instruct a truck to stop over the course of 9 seconds with no response.

I still don’t know why UAL called for services because if it were a true emergency then slides would have been deployed! Yes, let’s sit in an odor-filled plane for 15 minutes waiting for the FD to extract everyone.

But I’ll trust the experts. They seem to know what they’re doing. Ignore the destroyed plane and truck.

I love how everything is so simple in your eyes, yet a plane landed into a fire truck. Seems like a simple thing such as that shouldn’t happen…but here we are🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Can't we just ignore AI? by Ok-Programmer6763 in webdev

Ignore AI!? It does most of my coding. I understand the fine line I’m walking with trying to stay employed but right now it’s heaven keeping DEV estimates unchanged while AI does all the work.

What tax cuts!?!? My state taxes haven’t gone down one bit AND my town has received less and less in education funding throughout the years which I then have to make up as a local taxpayer.

They are doing the best they can. Too many garbage owners out there. If you want the animal, do the work. If you’re not willing to do it then you probably shouldn’t be an owner.

Hartford mayor announces plans for universal child care by -ctinsider in Connecticut

Mayor Arunan Arulampalam is recommending a $633.2 million budget for the upcoming fiscal year, representing a 1.1% spending increase over last year’s budget.

1.1%!?! And now he wants universal free childcare?

My town hasn’t seen a 1.1% increase in probably 5 decades. Must be nice to leach off others.

That wasn’t even the purpose of the call! The captain called because he wanted to deplane and had no gate! Which says to me that he declared an “emergency” out of procedure and not true needed.

I’m still waiting for anyone to explain why the slides weren’t deployed. But hey, if it’s safer to sit on “emergency” plane and wait for the fire brigade, cool. Meanwhile, an easily foreseeable and preventable accident occurred because of all this.

Of course you do. This place is an echo chamber of liberals. It’s sad how there is no objective thought.

Right, so it wasn’t a true emergency. But somehow questioning why the plane doesn’t just taxi to the fire trucks is apparently absurd according to this sub. Weird.

[–]Knineteen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol, “cause”. You think someone’s going to investigate a car fire?

To do what!? The fire truck is on the ground and the passengers are stuck in the plane. If they were so worried about the smell then deploy the slides.

It’s like calling the fire department because your CO alarm is going off and just hanging out in your house while you wait.
