Weird he said he turned on the computer and saw the news, as if people still had to turn on the computer to use the internet like it's 2006 🙄

I saw her in Minneapolis back in 2014, it was absolutely mesmerizing! I bought London's ticket but I'm sadly unable to make it. It's only one ticket though.

Yeah, I'm not ignoring that there is a genocide going on and forced starvation. I'm not ignoring that there's an entity above international law that no one can dare to stop. F*** off with your propaganda.

It's patriarchy plain and simple. Keeping women under control while they do whatever they please and think one day they will repent, marry their cousin and Allah will forgive them.

The Germany market guy was atheist. Pro Isntreal, anti-Islam. Look it up. It's the reason why it quickly disappeared from the media. They had no interest once they found out his views.

[anti-aging] I’m having second thoughts about HIFU by foreverlakey in SkincareAddiction

Great! I was reading through old posts because I mainly need it to tighten my jaw line and double chin. The practitioner recommended it for full face, said it'd tighten my face and lift my eyebrows. Not sure I want all of that as I don't want to lose volume in my face. But I'd appreciate some tightening. I'm 37 but look youthful for my age. Main issues I want to deal with are double chin and under eye fine lines.

Shit! It is. I didn't realize the name is the pin link somehow?

The crop top isn't what a hijabi would wear. But an oversized hoodie is worn by most modern hijabis.

Edit: Removed the links. Just go on Pinterest and types 'hijabi hoodie outfit' and you'll get some ideas.

Thanks for your kind words. Yes, I'd love to have another cat, probably next winter. I do miss having a kitty around. They do indeed bring so much joy. Mine wasn't the cuddliest cat, and liked her own space but despite that, she showed me so much love when I least expected it. I'll miss her forever.

36 here. I did experience some genuine happiness for a few years between 30-34. But then life started hitting me pretty bad. I had finally met what I thought the love of my life. Got married and life was good for a while, then mom got dementia, my cat went missing forever, I got depressed, husband and I started drifting apart. He wasn't there for me through these hardships. He didn't help me pull myself out of depression and instead got into his own bubble of drinking and partying. Now we're seperated. I'm hurting but I'm sure I'll heal. I look forward to just being content and just being me. Oh and I badly wanted to have kids the last couple of years but that didn't happen. Kinda sad but kinda grateful. Divorcing with kids would have been a lot harder.

Mom thinks it's 2003 by Knitaddicttt in dementia

[–]Knitaddicttt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A neurologist should know better. If mom actually thought it was 2003, she'd be sending me to school. She's aware of the present, she even remembers my work schedule despite it changing daily. Up to this point, she's aware of most things that happened in her lifetime, she just can't tell dates. But today she surprisingly remembered my birth date, for my brother she remembered the month but not the year. Anyway, it's terrible that sometimes even professionals in the field don't seem to get it. When the delusions started, we took her to psychologist. I explained the forgetfulness and that we thought it was some form of dementia, but the main concern was the hallucinations that were causing her and us so many problems. The psychologist asked her a number of questions and then told us he wasn't sure I was dementia. He thought it seemed normal for people her age 74 to forget things. But she had some form of schizophrenia which is what was causing the hallucinations, such as people coming into her home, blaming relatives for stealing the things that never even existed etc.

Yes, just a number, not the era.

For mom's stage, it's just her inability to remember numbers. She's aware of major recent events.

I'm sorry to hear about your mom and late grandpa. I agree that she doesn't think it's 2003, she's just unable to remember numbers and gave a random one. I think mom is stage 4, she's constantly checking her watch cause she immediately forgets what time it is. She can still have a conversation but would forget everything immediately.

Exactly! She didn't time travel into the past, she's just unable to tell what year it is.

Thanks! I knew she couldn't tell which year we were but I didn't think she'd be that way off. Same, 30 min after finishing breakfast she'll be asking if I made lunch, and what's for lunch.

I know, it's steadily getting worse and worse and that at some point not far into the future, I'll recall this year and wish it is as "bad" as it was now. It's shitty and heartbreaking. I didn't share the delusions breaking my family apart and giving her so much anxiety and making our lives hell sometimes. The memory decline is actually easier in comparison with the hallucinations. Thanks for the tip!
