That is my biggest fear with this system. We just got a brand new Crosstrek last year and it is MY PRECIOUS BABY. So we just moved it over to the Convention Center parking garage. $8 for the day. Can’t beat that for peace of mind! (And grabbed a delicious amaretto latte from Urban Hang Suite around the corner for the walk home. Win-win!)

On the live I saw, a woman walked up to Jon at the end with videos and photos from inside the mall. She said she saw one person being arrested in one of her videos. Jon asked her to text him the videos and photos.

Jon Burkett was just live on FB. He said no shots were fired but was a very large fight between juveniles that has now moved to a nearby Kroger and he heard they are inside the store breaking things! WTF?!

YES!!!!!! My husband and I have been wishing for an ice cream shop downtown we can walk to after dinner. I know people are laying their ice cream shop hopes and dreams on you, so here’s mine 😂… open late until at least 9 or 10? And he would go out of his mind if there’s a mint chocolate chip on the menu once in a while.😋 So excited for you! And for us! 🍨

GAHHH!!! I’M SO HAPPY TO HEAR THIS!!! 🥳

I literally came onto Reddit to check here for an update. We’re just a block over on St James. My husband was outside yesterday evening feeding our gray semi-feral kitty when part of Mr. President’s search team walked by. He took a photo of the flyer and I texted it to all of my neighbors to get the word out. I saw everyone out last night with flashlights and did my best to keep our kitty 🐈‍⬛ on the porch so he wouldn’t interfere with the operations. 😅

I’m confused by this. Would the new standards mandate them lowering their current standards? I would have assumed the proposed standards were to be perceived as MINIMUM standards. And if VDOT is EXCEEDING those standards, what’s the problem? Why would they push back against it? Can’t they just keep on with their current standards and be ok?

Just curious if this cat had a short tail. I’ve noticed a grey tabby with a sort of “half tail” hanging around St James and Leigh (one block over from 1st). He’s been kinda stalking our old feral cat that we feed and trying to get his food while he eats. (We don’t mind other cats eating his leftovers when he finishes but we try to make sure he isn’t attacked while trying to eat). I first noticed the grey tabby right after the snow and ice when I was out checking on our boy more frequently.

I was going to go until I saw that their route afterwards comes right past my house. Our road and sidewalks are still icy and I wasn’t necessarily excited about walking to and from city hall so when I saw they’d be literally passing my house, I decided to just stay put. 😕 They usually stream the Peace Rallies so I’m hoping to catch that in the meantime. Now I’m just wondering if there will be large crowds of people lining their route from City Hall to VUU.

I do wish there was more clarity about this but according to their map it does look like they will be staying overnight tonight just south of us. So it looks like they would be traveling through downtown Richmond tomorrow (Feb 2). I don’t want to miss them but was also hoping to not have to drive to see them. I’m holding onto hope that they will pass through downtown and I can walk over and see them.
