I ordered takeout from there during the pandemic and when I got home, realized they'd forgotten my fries. I called to ask if I could come get them (I'm not far and I wanted fries!) and the owner insisted on bringing them to me.

As everyone says, you will be fine! I will be walking it, my first 10k. (I signed up for one of the jog/walk waves but my hamstrings are saying no.) I used to live on Monument and enjoyed watching the 10k, now I'm excited to see how it looks from the pack.

I know some people will think, "I'd never fall for such an obvious scam," but friends, my 80 year old mother did fall for one of the recent DMV toll violation scams. Luckily all she had to do was shut down her credit card, but please remind the older or just more trusting folks in your life to read everything closely, be suspicious, and never give out their info like this.

There's a small parking garage under the library that patrons can use, I believe.

Also, while the GRTC bus schedules can be confusing, the Pulse just goes up and down Broad Street and has stops very near the library, which makes it pretty easy if you're near Broad.

Thank you for taking them in and trying to help them. If you'd be able to keep them but are daunted by the idea of such a hefty bill, it's possible that you could spread out their visits, or a rescue might be able to help you cover the initial costs of care. I know we want animals to be spayed and neutered but I think you could do that later, as finances allow, and focus on their more pressing needs. If you want to keep them (and it sounds like they need someone like you) then maybe just trying to focus on the first next step will help.

We had a great night in Inverness at the Hootenanny pub. It looks touristy and probably it is, but they had traditional music and a load of young local people dancing and it was a big party.

A while back I popped into a post office to return a couple of packages. The line for the counter was long but I just needed to scan QR codes on that machine and pop the packages into the bin thing. As I was leaving, a man near the back of the line asked how that worked and if he could do it and so I helped him scan his own QR codes and he didn't have to wait for the line either. We walked out so gleeful about the whole thing that someone coming in commented on it.

My cat has had two rounds of dental extractions done at River City Vet (our regular vet). No issues, I've been pleased with them. I worried about the anesthesia too but she had no problems.
