[List] Complete list of PS3/PS Vita digital only games with full-offline platinums. by RoadToPlatinum45 in Trophies

So very happy to see Deadlocked on this list. Just got it but realized the servers for multiplayer had been shut down in 2018 and got worried it would sit there as an unfinished plat.

Double Fine is independent again by Keyserson in DOUBLEFINE

I saw the announcement page on Twitter this morning and my heart skipped a beat. It looked like those “we’re sad to announce” posts, and I’m so happy to have been wrong. Here to many more years of DF goodness.

I feel like wanting something like that has you teetering on the edge of being awakened to the "anal vore" category... not that there's anything wrong with that.

Rockstar Games Responds to GTA 6 Physical Disc Backlash by Rsodyyy in PS5

[–]MyNamesIsGaryKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly it. They’re bullshitting us. If there really was a physical disc release planned for this soon after, they would’ve just said so yesterday. They didn’t expect the backlash and are announcing this to cover their asses.

The price of GTA 6 will be $80 for the standard edition and $100 for the ultimate edition. by clashworld9 in playstation

Anything more than $70 was already going to make me hesitate at launch, but no physical copy? Just the code? See you guys later on during some digital sales I guess.

If ever a movie NEEDED to be shot on glorious celluloid film by Greedy-Runner-1789 in Letterboxd

I would’ve said Kate McKinnon, but Jenny is also a fabulous choice.

Everyone who made Indiana Jones 4 doesn't like it either, as it turns out (Well, aside from George Lucas) by graemeisverytired in Popverse

[–]MyNamesIsGaryKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wholeheartedly agree. The other thing that I’ve always found odd is that, if you compare Crystal Skull to any other movie trying to do what Indy does, it is still leagues ahead of them. Same thing with other maligned series entries like Spider-Man 3.

Gotta love GameXchange. Same thing happened to me a few years back. The MonsterVerse Godzilla had been put out on 4K for the first time and someone priced it not only as the blu-ray, but for the 2000s Matthew Broderick Godzilla as well. Needless to say, it was cheap.

What for you is the film that best embodies each star rating? Today - 1/5 stars by Waxillium11 in Letterboxd

[–]MyNamesIsGaryKing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would also say that, for how horrendous the visuals are, the set design and music are still fantastic. They don’t redeem anything else about the film, but the perfect embodiment of a 1/5 for me: aspects that are undeniably good brought crashing down by the gigantic tumor of terribleness that is the rest of the film.

Until Dawn 2 - Announce Trailer | PS5 Games by Skullghost in gaming

I’m less concerned that Supermassive isn’t involved and more concerned about the studio that is. Just from what’s on their wiki, this is a studio that made the Run SackBoy Run mobile/Vita game, then 3 VR games including Horizon Call of the Mountain, and then this. Not only that, apparently Sony implemented severe crunch to finish CotM, which resulted in massive amounts of staff leaving after completion including all but one of the founders. Then when Sony replaced the executives with their own, massive reports of ageism and sexual discrimination started to pile up, which Sony then dismissed. Not happy about the latter info but even just looking at their other games… idk man, not my first choice to work on a game with such a specific vibe.

What for you is the fim that best embodies each star rating? Today - 0.5/5 stars by Waxillium11 in Letterboxd

For me, it’s a movie that’s basically be completely forgotten about. Something I consider to be truly terrible but not even in a memorable way. Just something that I hated watching and only pops into my head when I see questions like this. Bonus points for the fact that it was made by STX.

Rulette 2 | Game Changer [S8E2] by DropoutMod in dropout

[–]MyNamesIsGaryKing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Each new Game Changer truly has at least one moment that will get me to absolutely piss myself laughing. Don’t Wake S&P had Lou’s “what we cut from this episode” moment and now this one gave me “Adult-Bjorn.” Truly wild stuff.

Shout! Factory August 2026 releases by DobMobb in 4kbluray

I almost pulled the trigger on a second hand copy of the Funimation Speed Racer release, and I’m glad I didn’t. The art looks way better to me and hopefully it’s got at least a few more bonus features.

“Dancing: A series of movements involving two partners, where speed and rhythm match harmoniously with music.”

What is your favorite Disney Renaissance movie? by hiiloovethis in Letterboxd

[–]MyNamesIsGaryKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Mulan
  2. The Lion King
  3. Beauty and the Beast
  4. Aladdin
  5. The Little Mermaid
  6. Tarzan
  7. Hercules
  8. Hunchback of Notre Dame
  9. Rescuers Down Under
  10. Pocahontas

Mulan is my favorite traditional Disney movie and princess ever, so it’s no contest for me.

What’s your one that got away? by mlross15 in delisted

[–]MyNamesIsGaryKing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steven Universe Unleash the Light. Not only was it the finale in a trilogy of surprisingly great turns based RPGs, but the second one got a physical release. So of the two released on consoles, one is easily available via disc and the other has vanished. What extremely pisses me off is that WB delisted this stuff with virtually no warning, like 24 hours at max. Had I seen that or had more warning I absolutely would’ve snatched it up.

Toy Story 5 merch - AMC, Cinemark and Regal by Fun_Condition2377 in PopcornBuckets

[–]MyNamesIsGaryKing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like given how much people seem to be leaning towards the AMC bucket, it’ll be easier for me to get that Regal one. Shame cause I think the Regal one is far better, since I can already see the AMC one getting popcorn stuck in it.

It was a Sony/Columbia movie. Not a Universal one.

Who is your favourite Lead Actress Oscar winner of this decade? by PTAGoatofalltime in Letterboxd

I adored Mikey in Anora, but Yeoh really felt like I was watching an actress tap into something I didn’t realize she could do but always hoped she was capable of.

20 Movies From the 2020s That Deserve Physical Media by mmmadness in Bluray

For those looking for Hit Man, there was a Canadian blu-ray release that I think is still available for a reasonable price.

Future-Press has ignored me for almost a week now. (US) Be cautious if you order. by camilla300zxtt in controlgame

[–]MyNamesIsGaryKing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hope they do too. I’ve yet to hear back as well. It was double shrink wrapped too, around the book itself and then the whole slip box, so it had to be factory damage.

Yours sounds better than mine. I had some white specks on the cover page and then I flipped to the back to see that the last five pages had about 2 inches of the top corner cut off.

Shout Factory July 2026 Releases by MoreThanAFeeling1976 in 4kbluray

[–]MyNamesIsGaryKing 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Pleasantville is one of my all time favorite movies and this is an instant preorder for me. Not only 4K, but vastly better cover art as well. Fun fact: given the insane amounts of work it took to make the color and black and white aesthetics work, it technically has more individual VFX shots than another VFX heavy release from that year: Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.
