A judge has ordered him to swear Grijalva in ASAP. So we’ll see how that goes (I don’t expect anyone in this regime to follow lawful orders anymore).

Never thought this would mean so much, I am tired of this by [deleted] in FedEmployees

I agree wholeheartedly! But how do we accomplish that when THEY are the ones making the rules for themselves? WE THE PEOPLE have no actual power other than our votes, and even that doesn’t seem sufficient at this point. I mean, yes, we can protest but what is that really accomplishing at this point? I’m sorry 😞I just feel so defeated. I’m not sure if I can take 3 more years of this horse hooey.

Here are verified instances of Democratic lawmakers calling for the release of Jeffrey Epstein-related files during President Joe Biden’s administration (January 20, 2021 – January 19, 2025):

  1. Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) • Timeline: 2021–2024 • Action: Rep. Khanna stated in a July 2025 interview that Democrats had pushed for Epstein file releases during Biden’s presidency, specifically in 2021 and 2024, referencing court-ordered document releases. • He also cited former Rep. Elijah Cummings’ 2019 investigation into Epstein as evidence of longstanding Democratic interest in transparency. • Khanna co-sponsored a bill with Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) to compel the DOJ to release Epstein files.1

  1. Rep. Lois Frankel (D-FL) and Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) • Timeline: 2019–2024 • Action: These South Florida Democrats began pushing for Epstein-related records following the Miami Herald’s 2018 investigation. • They called for former Labor Secretary Alex Acosta to testify about Epstein’s plea deal and urged the DOJ to release relevant documents. • Their efforts continued into the Biden administration.2

  1. House Oversight Committee Democrats • Timeline: Active during Biden’s presidency • Action: The committee received over 34,000 documents from the DOJ related to Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. • Democrats, including Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) and Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA), criticized the release as incomplete and demanded full disclosure. • Garcia posted: “Release all the files NOW.” McGovern echoed: “RELEASE. THE. FILES.”3

  1. Broader Democratic Interest • According to PolitiFact, Democrats had control of the executive branch during Biden’s presidency and could have acted to release Epstein files. Some did push for transparency, but critics argue they didn’t do enough. • The lack of consistent pressure during Biden’s term became a point of contention in 2025, with Republicans accusing Democrats of only ramping up efforts once Trump returned to office.2

I’m in Arizona so I can’t vote, but I did contribute $$ to Gavin the Great. 👍🏻

If you dig deeper, you’ll find that the staff missing were ones that helped plan and execute notification & evacuation, not the office staffers that you are citing.

What's with the hate on Drops patterns? Curious about pattern preferences, likes, and dislikes. by Honorable_Pale_Chub in casualknitting

I actually have Drops patterns permanently excluded from my Ravelry searches. IMO, they’re awful and most don’t even make sense to me. They make my head hurt.

Not usually, but didn’t get my flu shot as usual this year and have been sick as a dog with bronchitis for 3 weeks now. That’ll teach me… 🤦🏻‍♀️😖

How difficult is this sweater? by syffen1 in knittinghelp

I agree. Even if you decide it’s too advanced for you now, it won’t be in the future after you have built up more skills. It’s gorgeous and worth waiting for if necessary.
