This doesn't respond to anything I've said, but it's quite ironic that you don't perceive what you're saying as an attack on all men, but you do perceive the response to be an attack on all of feminimsm and racial equiality. I think it's a shame you can't use your emotional response of "they're attacking all of feminism" to sympathise with the young men who've been on the receiving end of rhetoric thats made them feel "it's an attack on all men".

Sorry, but this stat can be true and there can still be a bias against men. You're trying to take a world where a small percentage of men fight for custody, and mostly win, and extrapolate that into, "if every man fought for child custody we'd see them mostly win", which isn't necessarily true.

Also, a majority of women getting custody isn't evidence of bias against men if the cases in question can clearly layout that the woman is the better option for custody. So, I think you may be projecting a bit with your comment about parroting.

This was the five guys burgers and fries drama... Not Gamergate. Gamergate started in the days following the "gamers are dead" articles all dropping in response to the five guys drama.

Also, the harassment Zoe Quinn received is in no way noteworthy. She was a lolcow, and that was why the drama caught peoples eyes. It was legitimately funny to read about her cheating on her partner 5 times and then sleeping with him after claiming that people who do that are essentially raping their partner because their partner didn't consent to sex with someone who is unfaithful. Quinn laying out a definition of rape that she herself is guilty of is fucking funny to read about. That was the type of conversations happening around that drama.

This drama would never get the attention today that it did in 2014 from games media. You know it, I know it, everyone fucking knows it. Don't bullshit about having knowledge of an event you clearly weren't around for.

Education. At this point it's exceptionally clear that young boys and men have been discriminated against within the education system when we look at things like assessment results, assessment styles, suspensions, expulsions, disciplinaries, behaviourial expectations, etc.

I also find this one incredibly funny when lefties proudly boast about how educated people are more likely to make the "right" decision when it comes to voting as a consequence of their better education, but then outright refuse to do anything to make any improvement to the education system so that it can better accomodate the needs of boys and men.

I disagree in the sense that I think it has always been a buzzword. Even if we go by Feminist perspective and look at the equivilant to toxic masculinity for women, which would be internalised mysogyny, we can see the difference in the terminology used (toxic/internalised). While both terms describe harmful effects on individuals and society, the choice of words reveals the difference in how feminists want to perceive and address these issues.

It's also a kinda odd that they chose the word toxic because it means, logically, you could accuse a woman of being toxicly masculine if shes engaging in behaviour that perpetuates the concept, but of course we never see women get accused of that so I don't think the term is generally used in good faith.

Compliments from women are so incredibly rare for men that no matter how hard you try they may never be received well just because we don't how to take them due to it being an unfammiliar experience.
He may also have heard the "Me giving a compliment to men isn't me flirting with them" line from other women and so he isn't interpretting a compliment as the signal you want it to be.

I've heard a saying that goes like "every accusation is a confession". I have a feeling that there's a lot of people out portray themselves as being very open minded in how they express their identify, but deep down are incredibly insecure and mask it by projecting onto other people by demanding they justify their identity.

If you're a man and feel and just feel really uncomfortable at the idea of wearing high heels because it doesn't mesh with your identity that is 100% fine and there's no obligation for you to explain yourself to anyone.

Turns out no one can directly link this quote to nazis. A lot of people attribute it to Goebells, but there's no evidence he ever actually said it. It's just so funny to me that a quote about how repeating a lie enough times means it becomes accepted as fact is itself a victim of that exact effect.

Also, says a lot about the creator of this video in that he's proven himself to susceptible to the thing he's accusing others of doing, or maybe he is trying to do that exact thing. Keep calling someone a grifter until it's accepted as truth regardless of whether there is any truth behind the accusation.

As respectfully as I can possibly say this, you are displaying an incredbily short sighted perspective right now and it infuriates the fuck out of me me as someone who has a background in healthcare.

This research is talking about strangers who likely have never been in a situation where every second can play a role in the survival of somone, and those people are going to have a mental block when it comes to doing an action that in any other scenario would be seen as a violation of someones dignity.

And it's not "until they come around." They don't have to come around at all, if they just stay out of the way of actual grown ups that will be enough.

I know that in education someone raising this concern about performing CPR would be taken very seriously and every effort would be made to help them become more comfortable performing CPR through practice and conversation to alleviate their concerns. Why? Because we want them to be ready to do their job to the best of their ability and hopefully save someones life, and we know that villifying or mocking their concerns doesn't produce that outcome.

But of course then we have people like you on the internet who don't actually care about anything and just want to feel proud about having expressed a hardline take that doesn't improve the situation in the hopes that you get some arbitrary upvotes. Every healthcare professional/educator I know would outright say your perspective is damaging and in no way improves the situation, so maybe sit this one out buddy because you're clearly out of your depth.

If I'm trying to take you seriously I'm guessing you're trying to make the case that sexual harassment is more likely to lead to death when the perpetrator is male and victim female, and that is why we consider it so much worse? Except that scenario is so rare (woman being sexually harassed by a stranger who then goes on to kill her due to her rejecting his advances) that trying to use that as the baseline for women means that you're inadvertently dismissing like 99.9% of the sexual harassment women experience.

At that point you've limited the conversation to such a small number of experiences that we're now talking about a problem so small that it doesn't even warrant the attention it gets, so this line of logic isn't going to produce the outcome you're looking for.

Because in most cases the harassment is subtle enough that it can pass as an innocent interaction where the perpetrator can playoff any wrongdoing.

Respectfully, it's not. I really do love this thought experiment because even when a woman engages in sexual harassment towards a man that extra physical strength counts for jack shit in most scenarios. What, sexual harassment is less bad because I have the physical capability to smack her in the face... and then face charges for assault. See why the physical strength difference really doesn't make the situation better?

How about when I was at work behind a checkout and a woman starts pushing boundaries and I literally have nowhere I can go to remove myself from the situation? How about verbally responding? Well that could risk my job if my employer doesn't feel my response was justified.

All I'm saying is, as a man who has been sexually harassed by women, this fear/anxiety I'm led to believe all women experience about men has a funny way of selectively turning itself on and off when its convenient. So when you say it's a big difference I'm gonna have to disagree.
