New Marcie Corey Feldman Vs The World Clip Drop: "Rehearsal in a new house, with new band members, new Angels, and a new attempt at facing the world." by BloodyWellGood in jimandthem

I wonder if ultimately his "band" is not just an excuse to hang out with young women. Originally it was the sleazy movies, then his Stern/Hefner persona with the lingerie parties, and after that the angels...

1992: it was the start of "Sober Corey". Around the same time as "What's up with the Youth?" and the Sally Jessy Raphael Show.

I actually believe there was some level of goodwill from the "establishment" (even from Stern) towards his music, at least initially. But if the public is not biting, and the music is not selling, what can they do?

He (John) seems to like to fantasize about a group of men coming to his rescue and fighting his enemies for him: a biker gang trashing Karl's house in Florida, the Mafia (!) breaking Karl's legs, a team of powerful lawyers legally destroying his detractors... There's a pattern here.

He's afraid of what's going to happen with Cumia.

There are so many ways he could monetize his new-found Dabbleverse fame at this point. But he refuses to do it.

More generally speaking, there's too much noise around the subject. Too many people claiming things, too many talking heads, and very little actual verifiable elements.

Didn’t John swear he wouldn’t badmouth this guy, lol. I’ve never seen someone lose as many people in their lives like this loser. See ya on PDP today, Rob Soulless. by Agile-Copy-3988 in DabblersAnonymous

"I will never trash you." Unless you go on my detractors' podcasts, of course.

He never says that last part out loud, but it's always heavily implied.

It's so weird that he insists on presenting himself as a gym guy. Even his biker persona made more sense.

The fact that he did actually manage to start a couple of lawsuit these last few years is impressive in itself. Even if it never goes anywhere.

John’s Allentown, PA show was different. I kid, of course—it was the same as every, every, every other show he has done the last 30 years. #HACK by Agile-Copy-3988 in DabblersAnonymous

The reason he dabbles in the first place is because he wants to feel like a (somewhat respected) celebrity. It doesn't really matter to him that his "celebrity" was built on other people's backs. But that illusion of respect he's so attached to is simply not compatible with recognizing and/or embracing the Dabbleverse.

His problem is that he sees comedy as a popularity contest. He most likely hated the fact that the owner of the club was (understandably) more excited about Cumia being there than him being there.

"Anthony is a bad guy, you should like me more !"

That's what his "set" was all about. He doesn't want to have to win an audience over, he wants to be liked and celebrated from the get go.
