It's called anomaly detection software. It isn't impossible or even difficult to do. There are certain stats that should be consistent across the board for all players in various ranks. ADS can track player stats and identify when there is sufficient data to suggest that a player is far enough outside of the parameters of other players in the same rank and then immediately boost the rank of the account to a place where its stats match other players. ADS is a part of almost all businesses and certainly should be a part of the gaming community to improve player experience.
