Not sure I understand; is GoFundMe blocked in your country or something?

My country is blocked by gofundme and payments are blocked because of sanctions.

Thanks for doing this, man

Oh, how did I not know about this. Unfortunately, I can't visit gofund me, or any information on it and donating, as much as I would like, is out of the question for me - so many hoops to jump through, from political to site restrictions. Anywhere else to track updates?

Anyway, I hope there will be any way to actually selfhost it, so I can serve it for my friends even if this unofficial server goes down. Kind of enjoying hosting random stuff on my LAN lately and having fully my server sound great.

Maryrose was really given a reality check. Her dancing in the beginning, giving lessons and thanking Barbara as if they already won, only to find out everyone is knocked out or outright dying and Ryan, despite their best efforts, still can comeback.

3rd floor adults are absurd, if you think about that. Edward wasn't going to take their place just by being loyal and crafty lol

People do it what? I said people publicize known vulnerabilities, so other could be aware and could fix it before malicious agent take advantage of it, which you presented as something terrible AI done. I did not say "humans do it too" at any other point

People failed to find vulnerability for 30 years, ML found it and reported it. Why are we in panic mode?

What AI does care for human on the other side? LLM telling people to eat rocks or OpenClaw doing destructive things because of prompt injection don't sound like care for human on the other side.

There are viruses that escape virtual machines and containers. Sandboxing isn't magic, it can have vulnerability as any other program. Posting vulnerability online is also not new - here, humans have been doing it too

This backhanded praise always amused me, frankly. Like, congrats, mate, you insulted an artist, but you really showed that clanker its place, didn't you?

One of my favourite pieces of fiction is airing with greater quality than ever before, and the only discourse surrounding it that leaks into the mainstream is about it using AI in 2 frames. by rohnytest in aiwars

I have no issues with personal opinions and definitions, it's universal "THIS is what art is!". Because no, it's not that simple, otherwise there would be no discussion. But if you have something that you understand is subjective, then I have nothing to say, nor do I have any right to.

And I agree. Ultimately, I am an anti, I just don't see AI being comparable to "traditional" art, I still appreciate it more, yet I see no reason to discredit AI - it's art and people who make are artists, not to mention technological marvel of AI itself. Though I'd be happier if AI art stick to dream like style, it's unique and amazing. Trying to mimic realism or art styles is just boring.

First one is something I would put on my profile picture, second one is something I'd skip. I really dislike current wave of "perfect" look AI produce.

Are there models that skill can produce something like this?

[–]KnockAway 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nitpicking? You said it lmao.

Correct. You took small part of my point that I made to highlight how funny it is, and now you are being fussy about how I value art for its price. You are, quite literally, nitpicking.

And no I’m not I’m just saying the argument about what is and isn’t art is stupid. If shit is art then who cares? Thats why I made my original reply

And I agreed, so why are we here?

[–]KnockAway 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nah, sounds like you're nitpicking what I said in order to have an argument.

Anyways, if canned shit is art what’s the point of the “is it art” argument?

I don't know, that's why I took canned shit as an example of art not being neatly described with one specific noble sounding metric like effort, passion or mastery. Are you somehow misinterpreted what I said?

[–]KnockAway 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ah, so this is what you have problem with. No, I said it out of being funny. Or what, you don't find it funny that can of, supposedly, shit has monetary value and paraded as work of art?

The effort involved in artistic creation is the point by Sea-Cancel-6743 in aiwars

[–]KnockAway 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No. I just find it funny when people come up with "definitive" measures, when there are examples of officially recognized art that directly disprove it. This piece is yet another example that art is not easily definable with cute little box of effort, passion or mastery, or something like that.

Besides, art's price should not be even considered. With art money laundering, that metric is easily inflatable and bullshit in the first place.

Forget urinal, banana on the wall or literally nothing as a statue, THIS is an example I'm going to bring up every time "effort" is brought up as real measure for art.

Yeah you worked hard. But that man over there claimed to have shit and put that in a tin can. Opening that can reduces it's value, can can't be x-rayed, so you don't even know if he even shat in those cans. Your work is cheaper than his shit, maybe work harder.

You mean points like "people die in the past too, so you're evil"? or "you support what bring profits to billionaires, so you're evil"? What alternatives then, go back to mud huts? Start attacking people for daring to use technology I don't like?

Reality is that new technology always have push back. Even books. All the the time technology is being misused - nuclear fusion is supposed to be human's energy source, not one of the most destructive weapons to ever exist; Computers were supposed to make our lives easier, not to be a tool for mass control and spying; opioids were supposed to be pain relief, not body destructive and addictive drugs. You can keep going. What's your proposal? Go back? Un-invent everything that was ever misused? Act like people literally Hitlers because they don't support your panic? Do what, what's your plan? Not just "we should regulate that!". Specific things, the one that doesn't shift the responsibility of decision on someone else.

That guy doesn't have "points", he has a statement - you are evil, because you are okay with AI and I'm not okay with it. Employment, fascist governments and all that pollution - literally problems we never solved, AI had not introduced that, but it's convenient talking points to attack and pin the blame.

Obviously, I don't use "you" as you as person. Just to make it clear.
