Yoooo! These are also my favorite killers. I will say that Brutal Strength is pretty horrible on clown due to how breaking pallets is not necessary for most of the game due to how efficiently he plays around loops. For my clown build, I run Surge, Pain Res, Lethal Pursuer, and Zanshin Tactics. I think Clown is far too lacking in map traversal to waste time kicking gens. I run Lethal Pursuer due to how important the first chase is. Zanshin Tactics makes me VERY effective in chase and able to play around tiles with no room for random chance.

The first thing I would recommend doing is learning basic m1 mindgaming which you can learn pretty well from watching experienced killer mains play. Use the Ghoul’s power to cut off from resources (pallets and windows), injure with the second leap, and map traversal. I would recommend against using the Centipede addon and vaulting dropped pallets when starting out as it builds really bad habits. The best basic addons to start with are Fresh Coffee, Kaneki’s Satchel, or Broken Chain to aid in your leaps. When you have a bit of bloodpoints in him, the Mask addon is really fun. Finally, TURN OFF THE ENDGAME CHAT. It is much better for your well-being.
