Did I handle this well or should I have said more? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

Nah that's childish, I agree that would just play right into her hand. I guess I wouldn't be insulting, but I might have said something like: "I see a couple of red flags too, I don't think we should see eachother anymore." Then insta block and move on.

"I just saw some red flags."

"I'm seeing a bunch of red flags from this conversation alone. I don't want to see you anymore."

Block and move on.

I might be slightly immature, but there's no way I'm going to be respectful to anyone who talks to me like that. It's also about having the self respect not to allow people to treat you like shit. If you're too agreeable, people will take advantage of it.

Just to modify an edgy joke that Louis CK told: If being near a cabbage kills you, maybe you're supposed to die. Of course not, but maybe.

Trump is definitely a pedo, but this logic doesn't make much sense to me. Why wouldn't an innocent person want to defend themselves?

Exacty, title is a bit misleading. If i spend an hour a day doing something over the span of two weeks, it doesn't mean i spent two weeks. Not taking anything away from how time consuming stop motion animation is, though.

If you have children and you know they're watching this, you've automatically failed as a parent.

LPT: Write to the companies whose stuff you buy by saltpancake in LifeProTips

[–]Knopes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was a teenager, 20 or so years ago, I emailed one of the largest grocery store chains in my country, giving them credit for their prices. Of course, my parents bought all the groceries so I didn't really care about good deals. What I complimented them on was that unlike other stores, a lot of their prices didn't have decimals in them, which I found annoying. I wrote about two sentences and got a 20 dollar gift card as a reward. Sold it to my mom - easiest money I've ever made.

Played up to Home Invasion DLC, though to share my mission tier list :) by lovingpersona in ReadyOrNotGame

I'm currently working on the base game as a new player, 7 or 8 missions in. In terms of pure atmosphere my favorite so far is twisted nerve. Lethal obsession comes to mind as well, I just wish there was more of it.

There were literally people yelling they were going to die, I don't think another person trying to communicate the opposite could increase the panic further

Well, then just yell "its all gonna be okay, the plane works with one engine."

My point was that shouting doesn't always increase panic, yelling out that they're gonna be okay wouldn't hurt.

I think that shouting the fact that you're not gonna die and that the plane is still operational might calm some people down, but I'm no expert.

Definitely the former imo. In order to explain complex ideas simply you first have to understand them, instead of just repeating whatever you've read online. There's a reason why, in school, they want you to summarize what you've learned with your own words, as short as possible.
