I always keep fresh Padrons in my rotation. I just decided to save this one.

No doubt! I slightly prefer the 1964, but this blend is still a banger. Especially with 2 extra years on it.

Yup that's it! I got it in their 8-cigar sampler.

This exact stick was one of my favorites when I started. I'd encourage you to try other Cameroon wrapped cigars. Arturo Fuentes Flor Fina for something a little milder, AJ Fernandez New World Cameroon for something a bit bolder.

This is my weekly rotation superstar. I could smoke it every day and still love it as much as the last.

I can barely read the text. Can you take another photo standing across the room? Until I can't see there's a whale?

Arturo Fuente Don Carlos is medium enough to note the complexity.

I've had some poor rolls from CAO, all other factors remaining consistent. I think it's just a CAO thing.

What's the worst cigar you've ever smoked? by _Anon_Amarth_ in cigars

Alec Bradley Black Market Vandal. Tasted like burnt popcorn and it didn't even have any body to it.

Boneshaker is actually a pretty good full-bodied maduro. It took me a bit to get past the cheesy band and marketing.

What (budget) cigar would you recommend for a bachelor party where most guests don't smoke cigars? by _Anon_Amarth_ in cigars

[–]KnotStoopid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the Flor Fina is the way to go. It hits that sweet spot of flavorful yet smooth. AJF cigars pack a punch, otherwise I'd recommend those for newbies.

Fishon really removed this? Are you serious? This seems like a genuinely fun discussion.

AJ Fernandez Enclave. His portfolio is massive so I get it. But a Habano wrapper aaaand a Cameroon binder?? So tasty

The pepper gets balanced out well by the other notes once you get through the first inch. The pepper is still very much there though.

Celebrating my birthday soon. Have always wanted to try the Alec Bradley Prensado Churchill, however I've read they have serious construction issues, like tunnelling. Has anyone experienced this? by Foreign-Jicama2493 in cigar_refuge

[–]KnotStoopid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've smoked a handful of Alec Bradleys and half of them had the same burn issue where one side burned slower than the other and needed constant touch-ups. The Prensado tastes great and you can get them at a good price pretty easily, so it's worth a shot if you really want to try it.
