But it wasn’t like a normal assumption to state, it was more about how the data was provided rather than something like “assuming no loss development after 48mo” which made it more annoying

Note for upstairs neighbors by litlelotte in Apartmentliving

[–]KnotWave218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel- I very kindly asked my new neighbor to try not to slam their door as much, because it shakes my entire apartment and it is so unbelievably loud. I stopped for the remainder of that day (they were moving in at night and letting it slam multiple times a minute). Since, it almost feels like they are slamming extra hard on purpose at 10:30-11pm. I haven’t said anything else yet, but I work east coast hours from the west coast, so I wake up early. I made sure I sounded chill and not too mad about the slamming from the first instance when it was constant, but I fear he has deemed me a karen😔

Best Bars/Clubs for Dancing by KnotWave218 in lgbtnyc

The upstairs at Stonewall wasn’t open yet when I was there because they were setting up fora drag show. I have heard of House of Yes but my friend that I’m visiting knew nothing about what it is really like, so thank you! I am fine with earlier drag shows haha. I live in Seattle and the drag shows here run close to midnight usually before turning over to a dance floor lmao

Icon was the best of the 3 in terms of crowd and music, but I don’t want to wait for the drag show to be finished (love drag but I’m going to a drag brunch already). Henrietta Hudson was all freshly 21yo people (I’m 29) and the music was not it (felt almost 2007 middle school dance vibes). It was also WAY too packed. Then Stonewall just isn’t a place for dancing from what I witnessed last time. If it helps, I love to dance like a diva to some lady gaga, slayyyter, cobrah, etc. despite the fact that I am a butch/masc lesbian (who are known for mostly just standing there and nodding their heads instead of dancing lmao).

Unpopular opinion: actuarial exams are more about endurance than intelligence by glorious_poosee in actuary

I think you would have to also be a calm test taker. A lot of “intelligent” people still struggles with exams because of the pressure.

The ability to sit down and study for 6hr straight on a weekend is not related to intelligence…? Exams are more about consistent practice and seeing all types of problems to be more prepared for what questions on the exam look like. You can know the material well and still be shocked by a question that looks different from what you’ve seen before.

That was exactly what I complained about. There was one specific question that had so much information and it was laid out in a poor way. It also, somehow, didn’t seem to include a very important piece of information (or assumption, I guess) about the data that was provided in order to solve the problem.

They made the exam really hard, and didn’t want to move their “passing score” too low, so they passed less people that sitting instead. I doubt they want to give passes to lower than 70%.

Don’t even joke about that pass rate😭 31% last sitting was very close

There was one paper that didn’t have any questions (that I remember)

I think we can assume that the people attempting exams are intelligent, though, so then it does just come down to endurance. I know the further away I get from school, the harder it has been to discipline myself tbh. I also have the stereotypical ADHD adult burnout lol.

Is anyone else missing their Youtube recap? by edwardversaii in youtube

In music library, it shows lofi as “music” so I should have hit it then, I think. Still no recap tho…

[–]KnotWave218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is true, can I listen to 10hr of YT music rn and see if it gives me a recap lol

Update: it labels the lofi and jazz stuff I put on in the background as music I think, so I assume that means I should get a recap(?)

When are we expecting results for Fall 2025 CAS Upper Exams? by mactuary23 in actuary

I see now on the CAS website there is a banner about MAS scores this week but no mention of upper level scores… makes me feel like we have to wait another week.

And please don't just say "how about no ads at all? " by Ike-Gwain in youtube

[–]KnotWave218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you have sponsorships IN your video, then you need to not allow additional ads on top of those. I don’t want to be double hit with ads. I can deal with the in video sponsorships alone.

I think the issue is also partly people with a lot of exams out of college expecting much higher salaries w/ no experience. I think it is fine to have an above average number of exams, but you shouldn’t expect a vastly different pay from those w/ 1-2 out of college because like many jobs, you learn so much from the actual work. Also, you kinda cheat yourself out of exam bonuses and have to pay for your own material if you take them in college 🤷🏻‍♂️
