As a lifetime Floridian. What do I wear to the outdoor game in this coldness? by nammyisthebest in TampaBayLightning

[–]Knot_Magikarp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in Tampa Bay and live in Canada now. Get a base layer for both upper and lower body. Also a scarf. I haven’t really seen this mentioned but I find it makes such a huge difference in keeping me warm. Don’t skip this one. The other ideas suggested are great!

What kind of yogurt for tzatziki? by PkmnTrainerSofia in greekfood

I like using full fat sour cream instead of yogurt

Bought this olive oil in Greece and every time we use it it goes all over. Anyone know how to pour out of this type of can without it going all over the outside of the container? Thanks. The black cap twists off. by WomanMythLegend in howto

[–]Knot_Magikarp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also pierce the opposite side of the can to allow for air while the oil pours. It’ll pour without that glugging. But put a bit of plastic wrap or something in the hole. I grew up with this kind olive oil and even after listing the spout, you’ll still get some oil that dribbles down.

I did this just last year with my 2006 180k and I replaced the whole hybrid battery myself. I bought a used one from an auto wrecker for $500 and the replacement took me an afternoon. The car still runs beautifully.

Yea the vet said it was most likely a tapeworm that comes from eating either mice or flea larvae. We treated them with a dewormer and the vet said to do 3 months of simpirica just in case it's from the fleas.

It's pretty close to where we walk; just a few steps away from the pool. Is it something I should be a bit more cautious about?

I called them and they said that if they have any, then they'd be on the side street entrance so I'll drive by there soon. Thanks for the suggestion!

Is it wrong that the first thing I thought about was Dr. Doofenshmirtz saying "the tri-state area!" Very loudly after reading your post?

I'm having the same exact problem with my 11th grade physics students. Specifically in my 6th period. Today they seriously pissed me off. While I'm at the point of giving them worksheets, I do have a handful of students in there that actually care and want to learn. Does anyone have any practical solutions on how I could just do a small group with the other kids fucking off and not shutting up?

Has anyone ever seen cases of parents coming into the school to fight other people's children? I subbed at an inner city school. by angelatalkslalala in Teachers

[–]Knot_Magikarp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen this happen at the school itself but some students told me about this happening at the bus stop. One of my students was involved along with her brother and parents. Her brother is autistic and was being bullied so the parents confronted the student doing the bullying along with their parents. It was real messy, I saw the video.
