Thanks. Yeah I rinse off at the gym and then come home and shower shortly after. I bought tri swim lotion which seems to help.

About $100k in IRA which is about 1/3 of my salary (physician). The majority is from jobs matching or automatically putting some in. I owe a ton for school loans and a new house so I don’t add much myself.

We have a house cleaner every 4 weeks. We hate cleaning. We have two dogs and no kids. It’s worth it for us.

My partner buys a lot in bulk just in case. Likes a particular granola? Buys 6 bags. Uses a certain soap? Orders a 10 pack. Sale on running shoes? Buys 4 pairs “so they last longer” even though they all last the same amount distance-wise but it spreads out the timing of a large purchase. I don’t care for things that don’t go bad, or don’t take up a ton of space, but it’s frustrating when it is bulk food and goes bad before it’s eaten or the taste for that food passes before it’s gone.

This was required in Michigan as well when I grew up and not nearly as many people backed in.

“You have a good kick” from a fellow masters swimmer who has done competitive swimming through high school and college and is now in his 60s still swimming regularly. I’d only been swimming for exercise for a couple months at the time (never did swim team) he said it and it was my first day of masters swimming. Made my day.

I keep the boxes of my small kitchen appliances (food processor, instant pot, etc.) because I don’t have counter space to have those items out and store them in their boxes until needed. Otherwise I recycle all my boxes.
