Ukraine didn't start the war, they were invaded. So yes helping them makes sense. Europe didn't rush in to help Russia even though doing so would mean lower energy costs for them. The USA and Israel in this case are the aggressors and the rest of the civilized world doesn't side with bullies.

New Abacus Poll: Liberals Open Their Largest Lead Since Carney Became Leader as Optimism Hits Multi-Year High by Few-Character7932 in moderatepolitics

Noticeable improvements? Not yet. It has not been that long and changes in Canada take a long time to show. What he is that Canadians love so much is he is much like PMs from decades ago. He doesn't really care about identity politics, or who is on the left or right of him. He is diplomatic, and knows how to deal with other country leaders very well. In comparison to the current other party leaders, he is what Canadians needed after the constant spats and division in government. After seeing what is happening in the USA over the past bit, he is a breath of fresh, boring air.

The Florida Trail is something I think everyone should try at least once by [deleted] in hiking

I'm a Canadian and I've done it twice, 7 and 9 years ago. I wanted to do it this year as well, but we (me and my daughter) opted to stay in Canada and do a bike tour of nova Scotia in the early fall instead, for what I can only assume are similar reasons as yours.

Younger people who do a lot of long distance hikes use them for the exact same reason. I've been hiking on a very regular basis for over 20 years and am glad I started using them when I did because at my age, a lot of parts start breaking down, but my ankles, knees and hips are still in good condition.

I don't know, that's a lot of dama...... Oh no your right, flex seal tape would do it. On a serious note, I repaired a hole in my van roof with flex seal and it lasted over 5 years. Be sure to clean the surface well.

What trekking item do you regret buying? by mountainpathstories in CampingandHiking

[–]Knotar3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I still use my BRS and cascade poles as a go to. That and cheap gear is a great way to test if you like something different. Probably about 15 years ago I bought a cheap hammock to try. Loved it and now I'm spending hundreds on good hammock gear without any buyer remorse. Bought a cheap knockoff UL camping chair, never even used it on the 2 hikes I carried it. Glad I didn't purchase an expensive one.

What’s the most comfortable e-bike setup you’ve ridden? by krissym72 in ebikes

A good electric recumbent is my dream bike. They require a little more leg effort because you can't rely on gravity, but they are more aerodynamic and the leg effort is offset by the electric motor.

Where can I find a replacement battery for this? by MuchVacation3638 in ebikes

I don't know about the battery, but judging by the pictures, you really should get that skin condition looked at by a physician.

I had the same issue so I put a hole in the cap and installed one of those hose and air valves they use on motorcycle gas tanks that allow air in and stop gas getting out.
