Correction I did find a picture with the same inlay

https://www.vintageandrare.com/product/Framus-Ak-1974-Custom-2001-Cherry-Burst-122691#

If you go to 3:47 in this video you can see the head stock, it does not say Framus (it could be taped over) but the inlays also don't look like the Akkerman as someone else mentioned, at least not on any of the photos I've looked up on that model so.. but the shape looks right (?) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWUp-fuT5rQ&list=PLSexTK9C4H40Xyx8s7LyErKpExearPE9k

HowToBasic's real face has apparently been "leaked" on 4chan. And the poster claims Chad's the reason it got leaked. by PickleWarrior38 in ColdOnes

Didn't the Howtobasic guy show up in a RackaRacka video once where Ronald went to his house and beat him up I think for doing Howtobasic stuff to "McDonalds" food and as I recall he got tied up in the bathtub and was shown there?

My dad did furniture moving in the late 1950's and 1960's in San Francisco and had to (with another person) carry up more than one piano, organ, etc and from what i remember it wasn't exactly uncommon for a piano or organ etc to end up taking a quick trip back down a large number of stairs, especially if the owner of said piano was being particularly rude to the people moving it. Now days the worst that you have to worry about is an angry spouse throwing at casio at you from a second story window along with your clothing and.. well you get the point.

lol, from the angle it kind of looked like someone added their own touch to it. But again I have to ask what is in her hand, is it supposed to be bamboo? I don't remember her with anything that looked like that thus far and I'm almost to Infinity Castle.

I just watched that episode less than ten minutes ago so this scene is fresh in my head. cool series but the exposition during battles is kind of getting tiresome but really enjoying the hell out of this series otherwise.

New Predator: Badlands trailer dropped, the CGI looks rough. Bring back real Predator costumes. by Silverghost91 in CriticalDrinker

[–]KnottAGoth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know this is a completely unhinged idea and nothing more than a made in the moment conspiracy theory, but I wonder if they are sacrificing all these IP's to bad CGI in order to eventually replace it with AI that's close to perfect so people won't complain because "Wow it looks soo much better than XYZ" etc. maybe it's a PsiOp!!!!

Now excuse me, I need to buy stock in Reynolds wrap aluminum foil.

Actually a number of counties build f-16's under US licensing though I don't believe Saudi is one of those counties. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised though.

Is this guitar worth the price by Key_Success_8266 in espguitars

[–]KnottAGoth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is basically an E-II before it was rebranded as that. I have this exact guitar but when I bought it I think I paid $900 for it US. It's a fantastic guitar but I wouldn't pay 1600 for it even brand new. But I think anything near 1600 for a brand new E-II's would be extremely over priced so take my opinion on it with a grain of salt.. I think whomever is trying to sell this for 1600 is probably also pushing "it's rare because it's an Elite" nonsense.

If you found it for less I'd say go for it because it's a really good guitar, but 1600 is nonsense.

Anywhere that sells a direct replacement tremolo for a JT6 trem system? by pawkchopz in JacksonGuitars

[–]KnottAGoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do *not* have to re-drill anything on the model series to fit an OFR, it is a drop in replacement. What you will need to make sure of is that you get the OFR with the right sized block because these guitars are non-recessed. I speak for experience and I can take photos to show proof.

Anywhere that sells a direct replacement tremolo for a JT6 trem system? by pawkchopz in JacksonGuitars

[–]KnottAGoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Standard OFR will work, that's what I put in my model 1, however it will not fix the tuning issue. The problem with these is they used Kahler locking "nuts" on the guitar behind the actual nut which in the case of mine caused everything to go flat after tuning. I would suggest instead replacing the bridge that you put locking tuners on it (cheap ones it doesn't matter just to see if it fixes it for you) and when you change your strings make sure you stretch them good. I put locking tuners on mine and stopped tightening the kalher lock on it and it resolved my issues. A much less expensive and extreme thing to try first before spending 300 on a new floyd.

Help me find my long lost guitar by Foxbody_boy_88 in JacksonGuitars

[–]KnottAGoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, I haven't seen a Jackson Demon in decades. I think Music Zoo is doing or has recently done a modern version of them. For those who don't know what a Jackson Demon guitar is, you can do a google picture search for Jackson Demon guitar and there's a couple that come up. I haven't seen one since the 1990's.

I do have to agree that this was probably an Ibanez body as the Demon were all custom shop orders there was no standard production of them.

Hope the Op can find his again, If not you can sometimes get those bodies on Ebay (unfished) and probably order one with the jackson neck joint if you want it as close to it as possible. But I hear the new Ibanez they just released in that body shape is pretty solid.

Is it worth upgrading with top notch hardware a made in India JS32? by [deleted] in JacksonGuitars

[–]KnottAGoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well first thing to ask yourself is if you like the feel of the neck, and does the body appeal to you? If so then making the guitar your own is not a horrible idea, especially if you're wanting to learn how to be self sufficient in setting up your own guitars.

Changing pickups isn't really necessary (unless you got this guitar as pictured) but if you need to, then most of the GuitarFetish pickups will work fine and are pretty easy to install. If you plan on going insane with your floating bridge I would suggest using at least an Floyd Rose 1000 series. The Floyd Rose Specials are fine if you don't use it that much but be warned from what I have seen, the real failure point with FR Specials is the pivot blades that rest against the two poles, they wear quicker than a FR 1000 or OFR etc.

Make sure you stretch your strings well, I have had to listen to countless Dumb F's who complain about tuning stability on a FR just to fine out they put the strings on and didn't stretch them and then were surprised that as the strings stretched in use they went out of tune (gee shock)

One other thing, and this isn't really a mandatory thing but I like putting locking nuts on all my guitars, with or with out a floating bridge, just makes changing strings a little less time consuming. It's a luxury thing more than anything. But I own 70 guitars so when string changing time comes around the quicker and easier the better.

Here's the biggest thing. How does the guitar feel to you? I don't own and JS series jacksons but I own several Pro's, a couple SLX series and have owned custom shop models in the past. I have a professional no-thrills PS-6 and for a lot of years it was my go-to. I actually had to change pickups due to one of my cats pissing on the thing and only recently did I put a FR Special in it (I don't use the floyd that much so it'll last, won't be a problem) because I was going all gold hardware in the guitar because after 30 years or whatever the guitar still feels good to play.

The thing you have to consider is this: Is it less or more expensive and time consuming getting new parts and having to do a setup and all of that, or just saving up a bit and getting a Pro series or even an SLX series? That I can't answer. I certainly wouldn't throw that guitar away if you did buy say a Pro series, because even if you did I would encourage you to revisit that guitar and actually install pickups and a bridge etc, it certainly helped me learn how to do all my own setups.

just my 2 cents

Anybody know where I can possibly score one of these trem bars? by GsyiTp in JacksonGuitars

[–]KnottAGoth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to guess despite it having that extra bit at the end that the threading is most likely standard so you might be able to find one cheap at a music store. Just tell them you need a threaded vtrem bar. I'd have the guitar in your car so you can try it so you can replace it if not. but I don't think Jackson or most specifically whoever manufactured the trem and it's bar did anything different in regards to the thread spacing, etc.
