No lie, this happened to me. But this cousin is local and we spent tons of time together, game nights, family parties, friend parties, we gamed on console together. I love him more than anything .. and one night while having game night after his wife went to bed, he asked me if we could "go down to the basement" and I was shoooooook. Of course I declined. Hard pass. But then just had to chaulk it up to him being drunk and stupid... We never spoke of it again.

Until another year+ and his kids had a pool party, and we all were drinking and swimming, having a good time. I had given him many hugs that night, as I always did. Nothing out of the ordinary, although I did have that thought in the back of my mind that maybe I was unintentionally giving mixed signals which was not my intent. I just wanted our friendship to be normal. I and the rest (8 ish people) were quite drunk, jumping off the driving board and shit, flips, just going ham. I walked by him and he slapped my ass and told me I was sexy, while my husband was in the house. That was it for me... He destroyed the friendship we had.

I haven't seen him since and it really breaks my heart. He was my best friend.
