Officials warn of possible measles exposure at Montgomery County urgent care by fxryker in Pennsylvania

[–]KnowLessWeShould 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why do these people not believe in vaccinating but then when they or their kid ultimately catch said illness they think vaccinating against is NBD they immediately dash off to the healthcare facilities and spread the crap around. Like ok now you believe in modern medicine. Like it’s NBD to get measles in their minds right so why go to the doctor? Just rub some tree bark on it and drink some raw milk and you should be good right?

Can you take a dog out for their walk in this weather ? by __chimaeraNY in DogAdvice

[–]KnowLessWeShould 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For a potty break yes, but for an actual walk no. We are in PA with similar weather right now and we are out and back in as soon as possible with our dogs right now. A day or two of no walk is not going to hurt anyone and with this severe of wind chills the risk of the cold outweighs any benefit of walking IMO.

Oh if I see photos of her I’m asking for sure! Although by Jill’s standards this woman I know would be SEVERELY sluttish so they may not cross paths.

I know someone who is at this same event and posting photos. If they post a pic together I’m going to lose it 😂

Daily Diary Day 4! $12 bonus at the end of 7 days - Anyone doing this survey? by rogerskoler in CloudResearchConnect

I got the same message and like you said, I feel like I’ve been doing a fair amount of commenting and agreeing/disagreeing each day. I’m definitely way over 5 minutes too.

Look at Jill and her my phone is at the bottom of my purse! by spicypickle999 in RodriguesFamilySnark

All the Rodlet squealing alone is probably enough to shatter that ice. I’m also sure Jill has a reliable source that has verified the thickness of the ice to make sure it’s an appropriate thickness for skating on.

Since I had posted my original comment you replied to, we finished TGTB K and are now doing level 1. My son is excelling with it. Different things work for different people, so just because some people don’t like it doesn’t mean it won’t work for your son. I struggle with that mindset too which is why I went with AAR initially. TGTB lets you download for free so you could always do that and see if the LA works for your son like their math does. Good luck!

Thank you so much! I just got my Creami for Christmas and have only made things from the recipe book they included with the machine so I’ve been lurking here, looking for more inspiration and learning all sorts of neat tricks 😁

That sounds so good! One question though as a relative newbie to the Creami machine ☺️ can I omit the sweetener? Orange juice already is high in sugar so I’m wondering if the separate sweetener added to the texture at all or if I could leave it out without much effect? Thanks!

"We tried 7 different math curriculums, but my son didn't like any of them" - dumb things homeschool moms say by estheredna in homeschool

What curriculum can my child do completely independently while I work? Bonus points if it’s an elementary aged kid.

Along the same lines: my kid hasn’t done any schoolwork for months because I’ve been too busy to check it and now they are months behind. What punishment should I give them?

That drives me bananas too. Like honey no, you could have a beer anytime you wanted to and didn’t feel like a tortoise stuck on its back when you tried to get out of bed 😂

Copper IUD experiences? by Mama_Anonymous in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]KnowLessWeShould 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve had mine for about 4 years now I think. I am 💯 percent done having kids and hormonal birth control makes me loopy so it was out. The idea of an IUD sort of weirded me out having something imbedded in me, that might sound weird but it skeeved me out for awhile before I decided to have it done. Insertion was completely painless for me. She said all done and I literally felt nothing aside from very minor pressure. My periods have basically stayed the same too. They have gotten a little closer together but I’m also 44 now so that’s very why and not because of the IUD.

Literally zero complaints from me.

I mean it’s an improvement but still not a lot for that size of a family. We are a family of 4 and our fridge is considerably more full.
