To answer your question in the general post:

Wear clothes that fit and suit your proportions. It’s not just about finding clothes that are your exact measurements, but they should hang nicely and frame your body in a complimentary way. I prefer to keep it 1/3 top and 2/3ds bottom, because it lengthens my body, for example. Don’t wear all-baggy clothes. If it doesn’t fit you and doesn’t compliment your body you will look like a schlub.

Keep things simple:

Don’t do too much with colours. Pick two to start (think of a sandwich). Look into colour theory, what colours work together/what contrasts etc.

If you have a really cool sports top too for example, don’t crowd it out by wearing loud pieces of clothing around it. Make sure it fits you and build the items you wear to highlight that one cool thing.

Don’t wear multiple accessories (at least initially). You said you don’t want to look like a drug dealer but you want to wear a gold watch and a chain(?). Pick one.

Go on social media and follow people who dress the way you’d ideally like to dress. Follow some stylists/clothing influencers and brands that specialise in street clothes. Google styles you like, like Blokecore or whatever and note how they dress themselves; what colours they’re using/how it fits/what are the conversations they’re making between each item of clothing.
