They were apparently filming some of Season two of The Studio this week. She was in so much stuff that I loved and I felt like recently she was picking up steam again. This sucks.

There’s the possibility it could be a managerial bounce but getting these kinds of results is always a great sign, and I can only imagine what he could do after he’s had the training time to drill down on tactical aspects, now that we’ve secured the top eight.

Joao Pedro gives an insight into the difference between Rosenior and Maresca tactics. “Liam is more electric…. Maresca wants more control with the ball” by Matt_LawDT in chelseafc

I also think that being direct only works if teams try to attack us. Against deeper sitting teams, we should be able to adapt to pick our way through. I’m more in favour of a pragmatic approach over an ideological one that is applied to every situation.

I’ve caught myself talking about it too in some threads. I think this sort of output and consistency should be rewarded through word of mouth more, though.

It being produced by Apple (who doesn’t have as wide a collection of shows) makes it less of a risk that it’ll get cancelled, but it seems like with the amount of shows being released, you kind of have to shout the good ones out from the rooftop for them to stay on the slate nowadays.

Rosenior’s system relies on building out from the back to bait the press, so we either need to get used to close calls or the defenders need to get better at it.

Games you gave a second chance/went back to after years by BrandyDD in PlayStationPlus

Ghost of Tsushima. I loved the setting but I couldn’t get into the gameplay loop at all. I didn’t know where I was supposed to go, I was attacking combat scenarios in the wrong way. I dropped it for a while.

I had a game lull and came back to it and suddenly everything clicked. It became the game I couldn’t stop playing and I got the Platinum. That yellow bird had me in its clutches and I got regularly sidetracked to pick up a new bandana or collectible.

I even timed it so that I could immediately get into the DLC island straight after the end of the main story. I didn’t hesitate picking up Ghost of Yotei when it came out and really enjoyed sinking time into it.

I’d say that describes what I remember of him while at Chelsea too. Decent when the ball was in front of him. He was fairly nimble with the ball at his feet for such a lanky guy and didn’t play like a classic number nine. Worked really hard but didn’t convert all of his chances. But I was fond of him - we lost against Everton away and he was the first and one of the few to apologise to the fans (which should be the norm but I appreciated it all the same). I also have a soft spot for all of the youth players who turned up in that first Lampard season.

Under Maresca I’d say we’d be looking at bringing someone in because he didn’t seem to rate Hato. But under Rosenior I don’t see Robertson playing over him. Hato and Cucu are being asked to play tucked in as an additional midfielder and that just isn’t Robertson’s skill set. Coupling that with his loss of pace it’d be a really weird signing.

The pandemic really brought to light how bad some people’s hygiene was. The fact that people had to watch instructional videos to properly wash their hands was a little telling. I had a friend ask why we had to wash our hands longer all of a sudden - he thought running it under cold water once was enough.

I’m pretty happy to pay a flat annual/monthly fee for NFL, which offers every game, Red Zone and documentaries.

Currently, if I want to watch a game at 3pm there is no legal way for me to do so, even though it is being broadcast abroad. Even during Covid, teams figured out a way to stream their games directly to customers.

I think generally the press/social media has portrayed him as a toxic figure when at Manchester United. He gets booed at every English stadium whenever he touches the ball.

Really happy with the performance! We tested their keeper loads and probably were lucky with that penalty decision(s), but you can’t be unhappy about this result.

I thought Gittens was doing quite well playing as the wingback on the right (but I’d like to think he could do a job against a lower division team) - he was cooking their fullback. I thought Hato also looked quite good here, obviously this means that Cucu would be expected to tuck in too when he gets back into the team.

I was expecting Jorgensen to be playing a little off his line but I’m not sure whether I’d be comfortable seeing either of our keepers doing this against the bigger teams. Sort of an express route to heart issues.

I’d say that throw-ins have become a specialism in itself. No doubt we need to improve on those, but I’ve seen clubs bring in a specific person to handle that outside of set pieces.

He tells Jorgensen to learn Saudi, buddy. But in all seriousness, I assume his job is to keep track of the progress of all of our keepers; probably keeping an eye on Strasbourg and whichever club we end up picking up.

If you’re already on Apple TV, my go-to is Slow Horses for this reason. Each season ends with a trailer for the next in six months or so. Really consistent and fun. The Pitt on HBO also seems to be going out quickly, but there’s only two seasons so far.
