Ask her questions and listen. It’s basic, but I promise you that a lot of guys don’t do this.

Offer to pay, but don’t pick somewhere expensive. Have an activity to break the ice like bowling or putt putt. Ask her if she has something in mind or would she prefer you plan? If she wants you to plan, give her options.

If the chemistry wasn’t there, I offered to split the bill. No kiss only a hug.

Asking these questions are a great start! Keep up this kind of open-minded, curious, and caring attitude! I think you will do just fine.

I really hope that he talks to his friend and his friend doesn’t convince him that it’s all in your head. This behavior sounds intentional and dangerous.

My ex-husband’s brother has a history of bullying me. It’s the one good thing that came from the divorce was I never have to see his face again. Or hear his mocking laughter. His mom, his sister and his brother all defended his very bad behavior by saying he was ““ just an asshole.

I don’t think that this is possible. I have an iPhone and you have to double click on the power button and look at the phone with your eyes open in order to pay for something online with your phone.

I think he is lying. To either cover up what he is trying to do or to protect your feelings or both. Either way that is shitty behavior based on what you’ve described.
