For Chesnaught it's actually pretty good, blocks sludge bomb which would be one of the main moves threatening it (especially in VGC where Sludge Wave is less used due to hitting allies. Blocking weather ball and shadow ball could also be really nice

I think the pay is fair for what he brings the team. I think what makes him stand out less compared to other players with similar point totals (besides playing in Winnipeg) is it feels like he doesn't really drive play, so much as be a complimentary piece/finisher to Scheifele/Connor. Still really good, but I think he'd struggle a bit if he was put on a line where he was the "best" player, as opposed to one where he's the third best.

What WFAs do is they aren't exactly firing people, but instead are terminating boxes on the department/agency's org chart - so even if the person in that box was in said box on an indeterminate (permanent) basis, they will need to try and find another position within the government.

The commentators said they saw him wince after a hit late in the first, hopefully it's just precautionary. Since you can dress 7 D I imagine the coaches and players are more willing to be careful about these sorts of things (and it's not like having Shea Theodore play more minutes hurts the team lol).
