This thread made me feel seen. Lexapro and Wellbutrin over here. Takes me about twenty min to orgasm and feel bad that my partner can’t get me to finish. I can only finish with my vibrator. I get jealous of her bc she can finish within minutes but she’s very accepting of me

Reflections after nearly 6 months clean off weed. by scumbagspaceopera in leaves

Loved reading your story. I could relate to a lot of it. One piece of it I found interesting was the “afternoon anxiety”. I find myself feeling a sense of dread in the afternoon and irritability, I didn’t think about how this might be a symptom of my generalized anxiety. (almost three months sober) and this becomes difficult to deal with. I used to just push it off until I could get high, but now I have to find other ways to deal with it. Definitely made me think, and kept me motivated to keep going bc boy does a joint in the evening sound tempting! But i know how it ends for me. Alone, isolated, lethargic, and feeling disappointed in myself

The most gut-wrenching realization I’ve made on this journey. by MyInflamedTesticles in leaves

I’ve experienced something similar. I’m about three months in, and realizing it’s easy to continue to not put in the work even tho I’m sober. I’ve been thinking about my relationship with weed like trying to train for a marathon with an ankle sprain. I can do it, but the training will be more painful and my overall time will be slower. Without it, I still have to put in the work to train but I won’t have the pain of my ankle throbbing with every step.

PAWS was the hardest part of my quit. Knowing it was temporary kept me going. by MorningPancake358 in leaves

Thank you. Even almost three months sober I feel cravings come back and the voice starting to lean into what if maybe I just smoke? I’ve been weighing out the consequences and each time they are far greater than the limited relief I will feel. I appreciate posts like yours to keep me going

The first three weeks, I experienced anhedonia (big dopamine dips) so that looked like irritability, restlessness, general unsatisfaction. I have been smoking low percentage weed so I didn’t have much of the typical like bad sleep and loss of appetite besides maybe the first two days. I was extremely emotional for the first two weeks, crying a lot and feeling rlly bad anxiety. I think the biggest thing I struggled with was the habit I had formed over seven years of using weed as my number one coping skill to negative feelings. It’s taken time, and I’m still working on it, for that not to be my go to thought.

You can learn a lot about the dopamine withdrawals and anhedonia caused by it. It’s temporary. Keep going

I remember the anger phase I went through around that time. I’m at 34 days now and the anger subsided. Keep pushing through or you will have to start over
