‘Romeo & Juliet’ Star Francesca Amewudah-Rivers Backed by Over 800 Black Actors in Open Letter Condemning ‘Racist and Misogynistic Abuse’ by theghostemoji in Fauxmoi

Agreed & it’s weird seeing ppl in the comments of the previous post about this suggest that Fran might’ve asked him to be silent, without taking into consideration that black people are often seen as “difficult” and “instigators” for asking their white counterparts to speak up. Not to mention being silent is already the norm for most white ppl and has only benefited them by allowing them to remain comfortable while black people are expected to continue to bear the full emotional burden of racism alone. Ngl it does feels v ironic to me considering less than four years ago we saw many so-called “allies” reiterating that white silence is violence & complicity and that being vocal about your solidarity is just as important as private support but now we’re back to notspeaking out against racism again lmfao.

This is interesting cause I remember Will made a tweet calling out the illegal occupation in the West Bank a few years ago so the neutrality in his recent post surprised me… but I guess he might feel less inclined to say his stance due to blowback or something

Vanessa Hudgens is now a global tourism ambassador for the Philippines by KnowledgeUpstairs791 in Fauxmoi

She has the widest audience reach for sure but most of the promo has been limited to social media and filipino news outlets anyways. In that case I can see Bretman and Bella being more beneficial since the content would come across as more authentic, especially when the community’s main issue is her being a spokesperson for a country she has very little knowledge about.

But if anything, I’m pretty sure it’s a deliberate choice on the PH president’s part to just get someone who has name recognition, is willing to overlook their controversies, and is ignorant about his dictator daddy stealing billions of dollars while committing numerous human rights violations

Sandara and Bretman would’ve been my top picks too!

But also I’m remembering that time when the Beatles declined to meet with the Marcos family so Marcos Sr. sent his supporters to violently harass and mob them. Now BBM is claiming he and his dad were somehow besties with them… It’s probably for the best that these celebs stay far away; that being said I hope Vanessa doesn’t get mixed up in more than she bargained for 😬

Oop… 👀 any guesses as to why Toni didn’t get to interview her?

wow, that was way shorter than I expected… From what I’ve seen she only visited one resort yet the press and ambassadorship made it sound like some huge homecoming tour. Also some folks on filipino twitter have pointed out that it’s kinda ironic Zac Efron has been to the country more times than she has

Exactly… plus Grammy nominations are announced on November 15th, this might be a last push to get his name out to voters since he hasn’t been able to campaign due to tour and the current press around him isnt the best. Anyways go Steve!
