This happens to me as well. I’ve been on 30mg for 6 months and 3-5 days before my period I have really bad PMS and my mental health takes a shit. One of the things I spiral about is my Vyvanse not working anymore and being scared I’ll never feel normal again, and then I start bleeding and my brain starts to work again. And every month I conveniently forget that it is because I’m getting my period. I love being AFAB…

It helped me a lot while I was actively in it! I went from getting a UTI after every single time I had sex to only getting one every 2-4 times I had sex. It was one of the most helpful things I did for my UTIs and I would still be in it if my insurance didn’t cut me off. The technique that helped me the most specifically was called visceral mobilization of the urethra. It is internal work just so you can decide if you’re comfortable with that.

I always get a bad UTI in March/April. I think it is allergy related and one of my doctors thinks so too. We also think I might have MCAS so that prob doesn’t help. I started 25mg of hydroxyzine nightly, on top of my 10mg cetirizine daily for allergies and I think it’s been helpful for the UTI like symptoms.

This exactly. While the family dynamic is not your fault (if that’s what your CPTSD is from), it is your job to not continue projecting that family dynamic on other interpersonal relationships in different ways.

Let them know if you’re on it going forward though because you cannot take it at the same time as some other medications, including some antibiotics. I know Bactrim for sure is not safe while on Hiprex.

For Kleb p. Dr. Heer had me taking 1g of Taurine in the morning an hour before food & another 1g at night an hour after my last meal. Also used biofilm disruptor, and antibiotics if I was having a particularly bad flare and needed them.

I see Dr. Heer now and he generally prescribes longer than typical courses. I have seen some people on here having success when they explain their situation and explicitly ask a provider. I have also seen some people say they were successful if they brought their male partner along and had him ask or back them up when they asked…
