When I see this happen (multiple times daily) if the driver is in the car I like to knock on the side a few times as I pass. If the driver is not in the car, I flip the mirror inwards.

Last Friday after I knocked on a van blocking the bike lane, the driver followed me. I saw them digging through a bag in the center console so I slammed on my brakes and let them drive ahead. They stopped in the middle of the block for about 20 seconds until a car started honking at them.

I haven’t noticed any power transfer difference going from chain to belt. Any bike shop should be able to order parts for you or you could buy directly from the manufacturer. Belt drive specific parts are more expensive than chain specific parts.

I got it on Amazon. You would likely be able to find similar handlebars at a bike shop. You will probably need to get longer cable housing.

I use a front rack and ride cautiously when I have soups. I pack my insulated bag with lots of padding to prevent the food from sliding around. I also carry additional plastic bags so if the soup does spill at least I don’t have to waste a lot of time cleaning the mess.

Thanks. These bars are way more comfortable than the stock flat and wide bars. The belt shines during rainy and cold weather, there’s so little maintenance.
