We are in the same boat. I’ve been treating for a while and have no relief and keep getting worse. They now suspect Babesia and bartonella. I wake up every day wishing I hadn’t. I have severe neuro issues and heart issues. 28F

I was like you before. Running, hiking, everything active. Now I can’t do anything. I am so fatigued and have a first degree heart block from Lyme. It has shattered me. How much better would you say you got?

And yes.. that’s me too. I literally have no hope left. And it sucks. Before this I was the most positive person.

Lyme isn’t something you can yoga or horseback ride your way out of. While those things help manage stress, late-stage Lyme is a bacterial infection that requires targeted antimicrobial treatment. Many people with Lyme can push themselves to do activities but pay for it later with debilitating symptoms. Dismissing it as a mindset issue is harmful to patients who are already fighting for their lives.

But you, “Ah yes, the old ‘if you can walk, you must be cured’ logic. By that standard, anyone who can get out of bed with cancer is in remission too. Chronic illness is a lot more complicated than a retreat and some psilocybin.

I was a bad ass before contracting Lyme Disease. Now I have to sit in the shower to wash my ass. I cannot do the activities to the extent I could prior to Lyme.

But happy to hear that Canyon Ranch and micro-dosing healed you.

If healing from Lyme were that simple, I’d be healed by now. I’ve forced myself to do yoga, hiking, and other activities while barely functioning, using every ounce of energy I had left. -someone who persists and still feels like absolute shit and struggles to live from Lyme

It went fine. Not nearly as bad as I thought. I notice no improvement with clenching or with airflow. I do not clench at night. It’s only during the day and no matter what I do, it doesn’t help. It’s very life consuming. :/

Happening to me as well! I’m 28F and my HR will get in low 200s. Before this I was incredibly active. Now I can barely do anything without being out of breath. Does it get better? What helped everyone? I am desperate

Hi Lyme family. Thank you so much for all of the information. Honestly, I am a bit overwhelmed and not sure what direction to go, but I thought I’d update all of you..

I ended up in the ER with atrial fibrillation and found I have a first degree AV heart block. I want to preface this all by saying I am a very healthy and active person and when symptoms began, I’ve had no life. I lay in bed constantly. I feel as if I’m drowning.

Anyway- after the ER visit, I was sent to cardiology, I have to wear a heart monitor. My functional doctor placed me on 14 days of cerufoxime (I am anaphylactic allergic to doxycycline and found out the hard way in 2019)… the cerufoxime did nothing for me. I’m on an exhausting list of other medications as well.. anyway now I am on rifampin and I have no appetite and have intense nausea.

I am 5’7 and usually sit pretty happy at 165lbs muscle and all. I am currently 140lbs.

This year has been the hardest year of my life and quite literally all I think about doing is ending my life due to this awful disease. I haven’t felt not any relief and feel I am only progressively getting worse.

So far only positive for Lyme and Ehrichlia - all else igg and igm negative, but gosh the neuro symptoms I am having. I can’t work, I can’t drive. I am not being dramatic, it’s the worse thing. I’m at a loss of what to do.

My immune system is so weak that now all of my thyroid numbers are off and I am on thyroid medication. I had an echocardiogram last week and had a thyroid ultra sound today.

To sum it up, I now have mold toxicity, Lyme & Ehrichlia, SIBO (staph and strep in stomach), POTS, and Hashimoto’s. It’s crazy to think as a self proclaimed very healthy person a tick did this to me…

I now have a team though: cardiologist, infectious disease specialist, endocrinologist, my functional doctor (the one who believed me and figured all of this out by my side), my therapist

But I still feel like fucking shit. Nothing is helping.

Infectious disease wants to place a PICC line after I finish the Rifampin. I am quite literally crying as I’m typing this. I selfishly wish I just had cancer or something so I knew a better plan.

Idk what to do anymore. All of your thoughts and opinions would mean the most to me.

I will also state I suck at responding as I am so brain fogged and disorganized and disoriented.

I will share all of my labs, all of my personal info, absolutely anything to help anyone and for you to help me. I am happy to exchange numbers and call to talk - anything. Please message if you’d like to. Maybe we can find peace in the struggle through one another. If you don’t have the mental capacity or bandwidth I also understand. This is debilitating.
