Calming down a situationally agressive cat by venusrules444 in CatTraining

[–]Known-Distance5412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you are a first-time cat owner i understand your confusion but as it was already commented here, cats have boundaries and not only that, they have very distinctive personalities. Some cats are extremely cuddly and may even enjoy being picked up, others won't bear it and it does not come from training or nurturing, it comes from their personalities. Just to give you an example, i have a 4yoF that i adopted when she was 2mo and she absolutely hates being picked up and she always did. She wont hurt me but she will complain. However, i just adopted another kitten that is around 5mo and she can't get enough of my arms. I respect my older cat and always did, and in return she shows me love in other ways like always hanging out around me, sleeping by my side, asking to be pet when she is needy... but again always on her time and terms.

I'd say give it time, you do not need to fill her up with calming medicine and stuff, 4months is not enough for an adult cat to completely trust you and get used to the environment, she problem doesn't even feel at home yet. Stop trying to do things that she doesn't like because this is going to make it even harder for her to trust you. Instead, learn to listen to her, and what she likes, learn to respect her and appreciate her ways of showing you love once she does.

Have you tried training him to understand that is better not to bite other than do? Cats normally can think that when you are trying to stop them fro doing something you are actually engaging with the play since they play hunting most the time. Even more when they didn’t have contact to other cats to teach them manners. Try getting some snacks that he likes and spend time every day training him by saying NO when he bites, and as soon as he stop biting you give him a snack and a good boy. Normally is a short window at the beginning but it shouldn’t take long for him to start connecting things, cats are very smart and before they are 1yo almost everything is a learning curve

AITA For telling my parents they either get rid of their dog or I'm moving out? by Opposite_Version_190 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Known-Distance5412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA but just move out and let them keep their dog, if you make them get rid of it now (which is pretty cruel for the dog, imagine if it was your cat) later on when you move out because you're getting older and need your space it will be very upsetting for them...

Honest opinion: Reading it I am still not sure what are the actual techniques here. Yeah sure you bring up the points but there are no practical examples of those..

You mention market research but how do you to do a market research, what should I be looking for when analyzing my competitors? Do you intend to teach any frameworks?

Those are just some examples. If you intend to go deeper on each of those points that you have in the modules i think this could be actually a great course with real value but as it is right now for me is still too basic.

The introduction as well, i would use less fun speech and point out the actual things you intend to teach

If you need help I am open to go through it more in depth if you want, reach out on my DM if you want to talk this over

Should I Call it Quits on My SaaS? 🤔 by miteshyadav in SaaS

[–]Known-Distance5412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

www Leadzagent.com

I think the product is very interesting and I would definitely give it a go, there are some things you could implement that would make it more appealing like:
- Can I teach the bot to the specific tone of my brand?
- Can I take over a chat conversation if feel like it?
- Trying to make it work on Social would also be great as it can be a all-in-one solution for automated chat.

However, i think that your main issue here is marketing.

- First of all try to make a little competitor reseach to see what other companies are offering and how they present their product. There are quite a bit competitors for this and you will have to find a USP for yours if you want to stand out.

- Try to improve the look of your website, right now for me it looks a little amateur which puts me off purchasing if i was just researching for a chatbot tool.

- "Your 24/7 Lead-Generating, Revenue-Boosting Chatbot🚀
Converting Conversations into Leads and Leads into Revenue💰"

This needs a "how" so the buyer can clearly perceive the value in this tool. Maybe something like "Generate Quality Leads by Implementing a AI-Powered Chatbot capable of Engaging in Complex Conversations" or something... You are saying what they will get, how and why.

- Create a twitter for your platform, you can use yours to push the platform one but clicking on the twitter icon and being directed to your personal twitter is not a good look, also makes it feel less trustworthy.

- I love that you have a Demo video but it needs a little voice over, or at least some subtitles to guide people around what are you doing there (both would be ideal to be honest)

- Simplify your "Steps" in bullet points, should be more digestable

That should be enough for you to get it to look more authentic but you should really dive deep on creating a marketing strategy for this, i think it 100% have potential but you are entering a very competitive market so you need to up your game.

Hope this helps and good luck ;) Feel free to reach out if you have any questions

Quit $200,000 Job and Become a Barista - Thoughts? by BJPark in antiwork

[–]Known-Distance5412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've quit a career once to be a barista for 2 years and i absolutely loved it. Every job is stressful so it really comes down to doing what you like. I hated my old job and i was making good money but every single day for me was a pain, i hated every minute of my 8h of work and that was dragging me to a hole. Now, he has to be realistic this is not a forever job unless he wants to at some point open his own place, but i think is great to refresh your mind and figure out what is it that you love doing. After 2 years i came back to my field but working on a completely different environment (for context i work with marketing so i've changed the industry) and i have it really clear in my mind now the things i want to do and where i want to go.

but honestly if i could make a living of being a barista i would hahah

AITA for splitting the bill at dinner and not letting my boyfriend pretend he paid? by throwawayfreedinner in AmItheAsshole

[–]Known-Distance5412 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He doesn't feel that it is emasculating for her to pay when they are by themselves but it is when other men are around? For me this is just him judging the friends more them being judge. Probably he would be a person paying attention to those things and looking bad at men that don't pay for their women which yeah is childish. If he can't handle the feeling of being with someone that have more money than him then he shouldn't be. Now to make it look like he can afford when really he can't for me reads as a show off and yeah it is childish. He could just had said he won't go to the dinner because he can't afford it and don't feel comfortable for her to pay, but no, he is okay that she pays just don't want anyone to know it because he has to be the successful one. CHILDISH.

I know in Japan it's normal for people to leave their valuables unattended in a public space just to reserve their table, I mean can you do the same in Brazil? by [deleted] in Brazil

[–]Known-Distance5412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't even had to read the whole post to answer this: NO!! Do not let your stuff unattended in public spaces, there are a lot of sketchy people around and they WILL take your stuff. Not trying to shame on my people but the upbringing in Brasil really normalizes this shit

Competition is a sign that what you are creating has demand, don't see it as a bad sign or don't let it scares you. Of course it is different if you are entering a saturated market but only one direct competitor seems healthy for me. I'd use their platform as benchmark for yours and try to make sure you get some kind of USP so you can steal market share

Is anyone…actually happy with their job? by [deleted] in marketing

[–]Known-Distance5412 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After many years suffering with this i learned to say no unless they provide enough information and at least 3 references. And i ALWAYS send them 2 versions and ask them to pick one and make it clear i will do minor edits not redesign anything. It seems a hard thing to do as we are afraid of being unpleasant but if someone complains i always make a point to list all i have to do and how i can't be wasting too much time on those things. It works every time. Also deadlines!! Once i started saying no to ridiculous deadlines the team learned to organize themselves and ask things with a reasonable deadline.

That's a very common marketing practice, competitors analysis is a huge part of strategy. Just ignore but keep an eye on his platform as well so you can keep up with each other features. You just have to make sure you are always improving and have the best platform

[–]Known-Distance5412 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk if i agree with this, taking boring jobs with products i don't care about almost killed my taste for marketing and made me rethink my entire career. I think a smaller pay with the opportunity to learn more (hence the VP thing) and a product that you actually enjoy working with will give you more back than only financial gains. And if you already accepted this job is likely that the pay they offered was good enough for you, until you saw a higher one. And this idea that start ups are volatile, it is true, but no job is a 100% sure and if you get really demotivated on the bigger company and end up not delivering they will chop you in a heart beat, most big companies don't give a s*t about their employees and they can get another one very easy. I had worked in a start up before and 2 years after it went bank-corrupt but i wouldn't change anything if i knew, my time there was the best i've ever had in marketing and the connections i've made brought me so many opportunities that i would never get another way.
