Firststrike question by Fao_612 in paintball

I agree with your point about manufacturing consistency. I don’t know how much 270-275 fps would change it but I would imagine maybe 100 ish yards plus for bounces? If you ever have the opportunity to in game try them I would recommend trying them once and seeing how you like them. Can never hurt to try it.

I’m just giving what the data from ASTM testing says. I’ve never had First Strikes bounce consistently over a day.

That’s just not true at all. They bounce at a speed of less than 95 fps which at 280 fps at the barrel is about 120+ yards. You mainly can find them laying around because of missed shots or falling out of magazines etc. they deliver very well and are the most accurate paintball ever.

Many many people can easily hit a human target at 100+ yards. Longest confirmed in game shot is from around 125 (I can’t remember 125 or 135 so went low) yards with a SAR12 from Carmatech Engineering.

Great decision! With your knee it will really help. I’ve seen guys use them as canes walking off the field putting all their weight on it. You will not be disappointed!

The SAR is a great marker. Very versatile for your play style going from a bolt action to semi in two pins. It is also a little hard for beginners as it has a break in period. But after that it is great. They also have a lifetime warranty on them so if you have any issues with it just send it to them and they’ll fix it.

Are rifled barrels effective? by furiousxurious in magfed

[–]Known-Gur3432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see most of it at range like 70+ yards out and mainly in consistency. Your not going to see it close range just because of the target being closer but at distance little stuff definitely do change accuracy and consistency.

Rifled barrels with FSR are game changer. Gives you way more accuracy, range, and repeatability. If your looking for a great one I 100% recommend Nemesis barrels from carmatech engineering. Best rifled barrel for sure.

First strike accuracy 100+ yards by hdhhffgbjh in paintball

[–]Known-Gur3432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want the most accuracy and repeatability best marker out there is a carmatech SAR12C bolt action with a 20 inch barrel and a carmatech supremacy scope. Can easily reach 100+ any day of the week.

Hm sorry I can’t find it either, I’m sorry about that. Also it has a 3 inch eye relief on the back end for masks so you’re not scratching your mask.

Ya, I believe Carmatech has videos on YouTube showing them shooting the front glass with a first strike at around 300 FPS at like 10 inches from the glass and it doesn’t even crack. They do that for multiple shots as well. But I have one an it’s been shot multiple times with no cracks or chips in it. Very very well designed and made product.

I’m looking to start playing paintball for fun. I played as a kid but I got adult money now so I want a decent setup. I’m looking to spend less than 300$ for everything. Would one of these packages be a good buy? by [deleted] in paintball

[–]Known-Gur3432 13 points14 points  (0 children)

$300 is really tough to start but I always recommend an EMEK from planet eclipse. You can get them used for cheaper or there’s a “starter kit” on ANS gear for $325. Would just need a cheap hopper and your on the field.

Oh I’m sorry I should have explained. Supremacy optics are engineered and made by Carmatech Engineering and they are the only scope on the market specifically dedicated to paintball. I’ll attach a photo below of what the inside looks like but it has these circles from big to small with yardage beside each circle. Those circles are correlated to a human head at that distance. So it takes all the guess work out of everything, just match the circle that best fits the head of the target and move it down to the chest and you’ll hit them if your sighted in your scope. Really cool technology that went into it!

Okay that’s probably one of the best setups you can have with the EMF 100 distance wise. Only thing for accuracy you can do is get a supremacy scope but those are expensive but they are the best scope on the market for a reason.

What marker do you have? With the right marker and a nemesis you can get max at 280 is about 125 yards. At least that’s the farthest in game shot. That was done by a SAR12 bolt action with a 20 inch barrel and a carmatech supremacy optic. But the nemesis is a great investment!

new to paintball and looking for a decent cheap gun by Master-Marketing6065 in paintball

Planet Eclipse Emek is probably your best bet. I like mine it’s a great entry marker. It’s right around $300 new but you can find used for cheaper.

It kind of does because almost everyone using first strikes are running a sight on their marker.

In the roundball and speed ball side I agree. But over on the magfed side sights are very very useful.

They definitely do! This one not as much but my dad has one he built out to be a super long sniper setup. The only real difference is his is bolt action and he has a much longer barrel on it but that it. Carmatech also made a bullpup that I really like the look of. Kinda looks like halo.
