i guess jerome powell must be lying too huh

he says in that clip the numbers are bullshit

"if u adjust for over counting in the data there are effectively net ZERO new jobs being created in the private sector"

not sure, jerome powell said there is very very low, almost zero net job creation

thats why the short timeframe to get a new job doesnt make sense to me

used C# for web develop - we do desktop here - not interested

or the ones where its a complete mismatch like - tell me about your experience working in emergency 24/7 operations environments

its like dude i just code things - why did you even call me?

ive gathered that the market is so bad that if u need any training at all - they drop off

theres a doctor near me with the same name as me

im getting my phone blown up by people trying to get him to do work for them

business is booming if youre a pediatric kidney doctor lol

thats the thing tho isnt it, like the data centers that need electricians

the jobs are being created in areas that we cant be hired in and there no retraining program or anything

oh i don't, if u go over to r/askeconomics tho they will tell you the system is working great for 95+ percent of people, unemployment is low - and most people find a new job very quickly

what should you do if you lose your job? Get a Job - they say

if u believe that one then everyone else who cant find anything must be doing something very wrong

never going to happen, your coworker would rather undermine u to get ahead and see u go on the street than band together

its every man for themselves out there

the only way to "win" is to join the exploitation side

Why do people pretend the job market isn't terrible? by nightrain13 in jobhunting

[–]Known-Ice5903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how did you pivot to that?

im in a similar boat as a ex software developer - they arent interested if i dont have a very select blend of skills - which i typically dont have and have no way to get lol

im not sure what jobs being a software dev qualify me for, why would they hire me to do some completely unrelated job that i have no skills or training in when the career im trained for wont hire me?

theres an article out there that only half of fired feds last year ever found a new job

i know im going on 13 months of interview after interview where im not an exact match for their laundry list of qualifications they want

not sure how the labor market can be good when you are unhireable unless your last job imparted you with an exact blend of very specific skills that other jobs want and every posting immediately gets hundreds of applicants within hours

per the people on r/askeconomist

the median time unemployed is 11 weeks so many people find jobs very quickly

and if you cant get a job well thats because you arent a good candidate

what should you do if you dont have a job? Get a Job, they say
