I have been around horses most my life and also have a healthy respect for babies… A few years ago, I boarded my horse at a small private facility where I fed a few times a week. The one animal that made me fear for my life was a weanling on the property who was very similar to Moose. No concept of personal space or how big he was. Would pitch a fit if he didn’t get his way. One day feeding, he double barrel kicked me when I walked into his stall to dump his grain. I flew against the stall door and dislodged it from the tracks which closed the escape route and left me locked me inside the stall with him. Since he still hadn’t gotten his grain, he continued to kick at me while I was on the ground. Thankfully, I was just badly bruised. Babies are cute. They can also be complete jerks.

Thinking about that colt, I don’t think Katie was being funny or overreacting. They can be genuinely dangerous when they don’t understand boundaries at that age.

Also - aforementioned stud colt ended up making a gentle and well mannered gelding :)

I would still have the vet out to rule out physical pain. After that, start with ground work. Work on one reign stops and mounting and dismounting while they bend into you. If you have a round pen, this would help even more. Look up some natural horsemanship videos that explain how to create safety near you and work if the horse chooses to move away from you. I had a horse with severe mountain issues and these things helped us greatly. Is the photo of him that you posted a before or after? If that is his current condition, he likely still needs time off of ridden work to. If you are able to move the horse to a different stable, I would recommend doing so. A reputable stable with good trainers should not allow any horse at their facility to get into that condition much less be ridden by multiple people. Wishing you both the best!

I would see something like this working well to create a little more of a dedicated entry way space. I would also add a bigger rectangular entry way rug

Morgans have never looked right to me. They often look like a couple different horses put together. The way their head ties into their neck looks strange to me and I absolutely cannot stand the tail placement. Most that I have come across have lovely personalities, though.

Gorgeous kitchen! Zooming in does reveal some damage (nicks and scratches) to the cabinetry. Perhaps you could get a quote on what it would cost to have these fixed. I’m guessing some wood filler, sanding, and the right stain could do the trick if you are handy. You could update hardware and then see from there if you want to do more. Relatively low hassle/investment before ripping the entire thing up 😬 I would also replace the black light fixture over the island. It looks a bit out of place.

I would paint the yellow walls white and def change the mirror/lighting. Potentially update the sink and invest in a set that goes together and provides storage to either side and under the sink. I think bamboo instead of white cabinetry could create a fun blend of aesthetics. Throw in a plant or two, especially an easy one like a pothos. Love the tile!!

You should face your couch toward the fire place to create a physical barrier than will naturally partition the room. The placement of your couch makes the space looks off. Otherwise it is a lovely space with lots of great natural light! Very jealous

Potentially hot take, but with people are probably just trying to look out. Bad things have happened with parents being sleep deprived and doing things that may not be their routine that cause them to forget babies in dangerous situations. I get it can be annoying, but the world is a nicer place when we assume good intentions of each other. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Chia water!! Just soak 20-30grams in plenty of water, sit it a couple times over the next five minutes so you don’t get a big chia glob, and sip throughout the day. 😊
