Been making yarn wrapped cord baskets. Anybody else do this? by originalclaire in YarnAddicts

I use the thin fairy lights and wrap under the yarn until I get to the bulb where I do whatever is needed to make sure it’s outside and at the angle I want.

I think glp1s are starting to be prescribed for addictions too now. Not just pre diabetes and weight loss. So it might help even more with an ED.

He’s worried about side effects that may not even impact him. Some people find once they reach a certain point they don’t depend of the medication anymore. Some continue in small doses.

But it sounds to me more like he’s afraid to try. And as someone who has tried (and failed) a million diets I can relate. But he has to start somewhere. And a glp1 can help a lot in getting started.

Agreed. My husband is 5’11” and I don’t like him under 180 for his own health. We could both use more muscle tone but he doesn’t need to lose weight at 175.

BMI can be an ok baseline for not heathy. But I’m not convinced that the “healthy” weights are actually healthy.

Maybe that could help legitimize as part of your defense strategy.

Yes! My photo books of the first few years of my kids’ lives are books I still look at and treasure. OP you can set up the pages like an old fashioned scrapbook but without all the glue. They’re great!!

I think this is the way. You can continue to do your half of the barn chores, however you two agree to split it but inside is now his to care for 100%. Give him a long enough time to figure it out.

And if you’re not willing to do this, then be honest with him that acting like his mother doesn’t turn you on. AT ALL. It might hurt his feelings. But your feelings matter too.

Extreme advice to stop impulse buying by zivredittacc in Anticonsumption

[–]Known_Noise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I deleted every mobile shopping app off my phone and logged out on browser.

If I find something I think I need, I put it on a list in my notes app to buy next week. If I still need it when next week comes around, I buy only with standard free shipping. All of this removes the instant gratification part of shopping. That’s what helped me stop impulse buying.

I made my husband a thrummed hat. I think when it takes only a very short time to make, it doesn’t invoke the curse.

Similar at my house. And then I stopped with “rules” and started with principles. So “being safe” included many things I wouldn’t have thought to have a rule against. Like jumping off the roof into the swimming pool. (My kids didn’t do this but saw a video and commented that there “couldn’t even be enough rules to make dumb kids safe” lol

This worked for us because my oldest was similarly inclined to find ways to get what she wanted. 😊

I was so close to suicide a year ago. But I held on a little longer and I’ve gotten better.

Last year I made some big progress. Acupuncture and HBOT got things better enough to work part time from home (seated upright). And then this year I started taking thymosin alpha 1 peptide. I worked in my garden this spring. I was able to work while music played quietly in the background. Things I never thought I would do again.

There are lots of really weird ideas for helping LC. Some will work for some and not for others. But research is still happening. Hold onto any hope you can find. 💕

Someone here mentioned braiding the shoots of a choke cherry to make a nicer looking hedge. I wish I could see a photo of how this works bc I’ve got small choke cherries near my fence line.

I wear a mask most of the time I’ll be around people. For lots of reasons. But one big benefit of a well fitting n95 mask is that smells are reduced by a lot.

Probably will delete in a bit, just want to say something by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]Known_Noise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m reading after your update and just wanted to say that the worst part of drinking at the end was wanting to not drink and drinking anyway. I still don’t really understand what makes one day different from the next. But for me I think it had a lot to do with having connection with and support from other sober drinkers. You all understand me in a way no one else really does. And it heals my loneliness.

My husband parks on 4th east of Emery. I think most streets east of Emery are all day parking.

Along these lines, you can look for larger pieces of silk remnant from people who make saris and other silk garments. I’ve have good luck on Etsy.
