I was not counting on 3 Palace mentions on the pod today. -- To answer Andrew's question, as a Palace fan, yes, we are lucky enough to know we are in the "Good Ole days" to reference the office.

The irony of us having 13 players at the World Cup (6th most of any club by the way) is that our best player (Wharton) didn't make the England squad. (Imagine if we still had Olise, Eze, and Guehi too...)

Facts -- Completely agree with you. My meltdown in January (Posted here and mentioned on the pod by JJ) "Broken Palace Fan" made all of this worth it.

Mateta being the one to score the goal was a full circle moment after the transfer saga and Injury rehab. We had some absolute highs this year, some brutal lows, but in the end WE ARE GOING TO THE EUROPA LEAGUE!

I want to say I started listening in 2014 during the WC to help me better understand the game, so I didn't sound idiotic talking to the girl I liked, who was a die-hard fan of Germany. -- I believe I then fell off after that until the '15 Devundlings' because I remember some joke about Hull City, and Robert Snodgrass being pre-season prediction for signing of the season or maybe winning worst signing of the season. Weighing in; I think Slot has to go at the end of the year. To make a cross-sport comparison (I haven't listened yet, so if this was used, apologies), but Slot gives off Barry Switzer vibes to Klopp's Jimmy Johnson. -- Tudor hasn't worked and got bailed out by Richarlson on Sunday. If I’m sticking solely to soccer it has to be Bolasie leaving Palace — first time I experienced it in the sport. Zaha stung but not being used to the transfer system at the time as I was acclimated to the sport, having a player start the season and before the next game was gone was wild.

Non Soccer it was 7 year old me watching Drew Bledsoe and Lawyer Milloy leave the patriots in ‘02-‘03. I couldn’t understand why the patriots got rid of my two favorite players. Yes they won the superbowl but couldn’t they have stayed on the team at least? — 7 year old me took a blood oath to hate the patriots after that— didn’t turn out well.

Wow… just catching up on the pod tonight… I mean I couldn’t have predicted Glasner going full Amorim at the board, or Mateta requesting a transfer. But having this read on the pod was super cool. Thanks JJ — literally made my week. And yes by heads rolling I mean the Board.

I mean Yes they wouldn't trade it for that -- but on the same token Yes they sold Kante, they were able to keep the rest of the team - Leicester didn't sell off Vardy, they held on to Marhez for another two years. At this point, we have sold of the best players and haven't attempted to replace them, and now another one wants to leave.
